Paid to upgrade to owners suite. It is located below the buffet and kitchen. Noise from carts all night so loud that earplugs did not block it. I would think they could change the routes they take with carts or install balloon tires to lessen the noise. They don’t appear to make any changes to accommodate the most pricey cabin on the ship. The balcony doors do not seal so could hear wind whistling in. Balcony would not lock so if someone wanted to risk going around the barrier, they could break in. Half the closet is not usable. But really not needed on a short cruise. There is a pole in the middle and the door will not open all the way. Read Less

DO NOT BOOK ROOM 1020!! You will see other reviews that describe the noise from the kitchen above as well as the "half closet". The only benefit of being in a suite is having a balcony. The food and service is just a mediocre as if you are staying in an inside stateroom. Majesty of the Seas has no Concierge or other 'Suite' guest service support. The "suite attendant" is really just a maid and is not there to provide any services to you. All in all, I suggest taking your money and booking a really nice hotel room with GOOD room service. You'll spend half the money and have twice the better experience. Read Less

We stayed in Owner's suite room 1020. The room was very spacious with enough storage for 10 getaway weekends. There was one irritating quirk of this room. It has a large walk-in closet but there is a post in the middle of the closet that doesn't allow the door to open fully. It makes it very difficult to get to the back set of hangers and makes it feel very cramped. The balcony was great with two padded loungers as well as two chairs and a table. The bathroom had something I have never seen on a cruise ship- an actual flush toilet as opposed to a vacuum one. The bathroom was equipped with a full bathtub/shower as well. One thing to note is that if you are taller than 6 feet, be prepared to have to lean over to shower. Overall the room was beautiful and we were very happy with the accommodations...with one major exception. The room is below the Windjammer and the noise from above was constant throughout the night and early morning with heavy wheeled carts rolling and chairs being moved. If you have any sensitivity to noise at all, avoid this cabin at all costs. Given that it is the 2nd most expensive cabin on the ship, you would hope there was more thought given to the comfort of the people paying for it. Read Less

The ship does not have balcony staterooms and the few with balconies they market as Junior Suites; which in any other ship it would be a basic balcony stateroom. Read More

It's a good thing that we paid an extra $1500 over a Junior Suite because we needed the extra square footage (which is the ONLY! difference) because we had to have a bed moved from my brother's cabin into the Owner's Suite so our dad could have his own bed. Plus, the rented scooter died so we ended up with TWO scooters in 1020. Read Less
