Cabin 181

The cabins need ANOTHER makeover. Our bathtub was disgustingly old. The fixtures in the bath area were rusted. Our veranda was also rusty and had peeling paint. One wall had a huge gash in it and the patch was worse than if they had left it unrepaired. No coffee maker and Bose Docking Speaker system as advertised.

Cabin 174

Typical balcony cabin but seemed larger than any cabin we have had in quite a few cruises. The length of the cabin was longer which allowed for a full size desk area with many larger drawers, a night table with drawers on each side of the bed, and a full-length couch. The bathroom was a nice size and we always like the tub for showering and cleaning our snorkel equipment but I’m very mobile and seemed to still always hit my leg on the edge when getting in. Great storage space – so much that I had shelves to spare. Balcony had enough depth for a lounge chair.

The room was great. Close to the stairs and lifts, but no noise. One floor to the shows, and two to the Lido

Adequate cabin for the category. Bathtub was a nice touch not seen often in this category. Veranda was good size for the category. Space was adequate.

Maasdam Cruise Review By: Seavoyage
Our stateroom was a bit compact but clean. Balcony not so clean, but it was fine. Our room stewards were wonderful and very accommodating. Loved the balcony at the aft. There was apparent vibration and movement felt however we did not find it to be bothersome. Deck chairs being placed on deck around 6am were also heard but we like to start our day(s) early so we actually found that to be a benefit. Cabin was also a bit "squeaky." Bathroom was small - closets ok but we travel heavy. Keeping organized is a must.

AB 192- Verandah Deck room - back of the ship: wonderful, his and hers closets, plenty of drawers, great location by stairway and elevators to dining room and activity decks. Large, private balcony with chaise and chair. Bathroom storage limited - bring over the door shoe pocket hanger for extra bathroom supply storage. Bring three prong grounded socket, if you have multiple appliances that need to be plugged in at the same time. In- Room hair dryer adequate, but needed a US type adapter for the EU prongs. Bathroom hairdryer attached to wall is low-powered Euro style. Dreamy beds, three pillows of various degrees of softness. Long sofa and easy chair, flat screen TV and video. In room small fridge and closet safe. Whirlpool deep tub, massage shower but limited water force. Watch out when closing the bathroom door that you do not stick your fingers in the door jam while you reach outside to grab the bathroom door door to close it. Ouch, I didn't and learned to watch out better from that time on. AC/heat worked fine, a little slow to change the temperature, but it was fine. Floor to ceiling windows to verandah.
