Vista Suite with Verandah Cabin Reviews

Our cabin was great. The layout was efficiently organized, and it was kept very clean. Loved the large bathroom with a tub/shower combo even in just a balcony cabin. New to us were the magnetic features which held open the hall door or the bathroom door -- what a great idea! The balcony view was impeded a little by the design -- a solid lower wall and extended sides between balconies, but it was still comfortable.

A Wonderful Repositioning Cruise across the Pacific By: A memorable Masdam experience
WE loved our stateroom. It was located on deck 9 close to the stern where we spent most of our time.

Kodiak Island the best! By: Reeslangspi
Very nice lots of storage. The room had a tub/shower combo which if you have any difficulty moving could be a problem. It was not one for us but there is a very high step over into the tub to use the shower. There were many seniors on our cruise with limited mobility and I wondered how they managed.

Just so so... By: lakeforestCA
The cabin was ok - it's a bit worn and there was rust around the shower, The toilet had some areas that were worn so it always looked dirty. There was ample space to unpack and put everything away. Drawers in the desk and night stands were very helpful. There was a fridge in the room, but it was overstocked which made it hard to use for our personal stuff. It was nice to be able to grab a soda or water during the day while we sat on the veranda... Thankfully, we had been warned to bring an extension cord as there is only one usable plug in the room.

Cabin seemed small. Bed not as comfortable as previously experienced with a mariner bed. Storage was tight as suitcases wouldn't fit under the bed. Bathroom very small. Tub height was very tall when entering and exciting the shower. Our toilet did stop up twice and required multiple repairs.

Cabin 171

We loved this cabin. It was very quiet and is conveniently located on the starboard aft part of the ship, on deck 9 - two quick flights up to the Lido, or two quick flights down to the main dining room. It's close to, but not right by, both stairs and elevators. The cabin was spacious. Lots of closet and storage space, and a full-size couch. The desk area was large enough for my husband to be working on his laptop occasionally (!) without compromising the general cabin space. Bathroom a good size, and functional. The stewards, Anwar and Buda, were exceptional. The room was very well kept, and they paid close attention to our wish for ice. It always seemed to be there! The bed was very comfortable. The verandah was a good size, but we didn't use it often, due to cold weather. The cabin was a "vista suite" and I appreciated the perk of having a concierge on the other end of the phone. I never did meet Charlotte, but she was very helpful on more than a few occasions. We would book this cabin again.

Cabin 182

We were put in category A, suite 182, midship on the Verandah level. Good location. No complaints with the room. I've read where some people had problems with their AC or water, but ours was great. Our stewards (Oki and another guy we never met) were very efficient.
