The suite was very spacious, though a bit worn in places. More than adequate storage. An oversized balcony with what looked to be new deck furniture, which we were able to use more frequntly than we thought. The dedicated dressing area and extra closet space were appreciated. And, of course, the Neptune Lounge was a refuge from the more crowded public areas of the ship and our two lovely concierge staff took care of our every need. Read Less

As mentioned we went on this cruise to relax from surgery and purchased the top cabin with large verandah which was not used much due to the terrible noise of furniture being dragged around above us. The bed had a foam overlay on and was really comfortable as were the pillows. But some of the sheets had tears in. The towels the majority of the time were rough. For the huge amount of money outlayed for this holiday we don't feel we got value for our $. Which begs the question, why do all the cruise ships put the old rusty buckets on the Australian ports of call? Cruise Critic here states there are many new cruise ships, so why does Australia have to have the old worn out boats? Read Less

Inca Cruise : Cabin 220
Cabin nice and conveniently located. We chose veranda and last cabin to be able to smoke however unbeknownst to us the rules changed so smoking only permitted in designated areas with poor services available.

Our Best Cruise Yet : Cabin 065
We had a cabin on teh 10th floor with a veranda. The cabin was roomy and comfortable. Bath and shower, toilets spacious enough. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the veranda and watching the sea or the land.

Be careful if you are on the Maasdam Neptune level. Choose your room carefully. We were in room 022 which was directly below 7 tables with 28 chairs above us. The noise was horrendous with chairs being moved in and out constantly. The Neptune level on this ship and ones similar to it in the Holland America fleet are directly below the Lido deck with swimming pool, deck chairs, tables and table chairs. The Neptune suites are among the most expensive. Check out the deck layouts before you choose your stateroom. Read Less

We were in Neptune Suite 026, on Navigation Deck 10. A lovely spacious stateroom, with bath/shower combination, a separate dressing area, seating area and large balcony. We did wonder whether we would hear any noise from the Canaletto dining room or the lido deck above, but we heard nothing at all. Everything worked fine, but we did find a couple of snags with the room. Firstly, it vibrates/trembles when the engines are running (which seemed to be 24 hours a day, even when docked). It is not noisy and it didn't stop us sleeping, but we noticed that other decks in the same area of the ship had the same problem, including in the Lido restaurant, so it must be a feature of this ship. Secondly, although the air conditioning worked fine, there didn't seem to be an "off" switch. One of the units is situated directly over the bed, which meant that you could feel the air flow on your face all night. We would have preferred to have been able to turn it off occasionally and use the balcony door for fresh air when it was safe to do so. Read Less
