We loved our cabin. We had enough storage space to put everything away -- no clutter. Also we could both get in and out of bed without having to climb over each other. The couch provided a very comfortable place for me to read in the early morning hours while my husband continued sleeping. The bathroom countertop gave us plenty of room to spread out our toiletries and the shelf below plenty of room to store what we weren't using.

I would not choose this cabin. It flooded and was extremely noisy over the engine.

Roomy cabin with loveseat/sofa which folds out to a bed. We didn't need it as a bed but nice to have someplace else to sit, other than the bed. Ours was arranged so the bed was king-sized (2 twins together). Very comfortable bed. 3 separate closets, very ample. Bathroom standard, shower, toilet, sink with plenty of storage below sink and on wall shelves.

The only drawback was too much noise during the night which made it difficult to sleep well. I guess that is the one thing they cannot correct with so many passengers living in close quarters. I even had my ear plugs but the vibrations of doors banging, people running down the hall, etc. jolted me awake many times. We could even hear the toilets flushing.

Mid-ship location was convenient. Layout was pretty standard and met all our needs. Sometimes heard a big swishing water noise, which I can't imagine was from outside due to location, although it sounded a bit like the sloshing of water around a boat. I wonder if we were near a laundry water outlet or something else to do with the interior water system? There was also a repeated slam-slam-slam noise for about 5 minutes during our choppiest night on the ocean, but that never happened again so may have been a loose closet door. Overall, we slept well in this cabin and found the location good.

Inside cabin--Main deck Clean and very comfortable. Sheets and towels were clean and fresh. Plenty of closet space (if you run out of space on a HAL ship, you've brought too much luggage!!!!!) Cabin was quiet but I wish HAL could eliminate early morning "hallway announcements." No problem with heat or air--the cabin temperature was fine and no problems with the bathroom either.

Eastern Canada with HAL By: janeAustenRuns
HAL cabins are larger than most. Our 3 boys had an especially large inside cabin.
