Fantastic 14 Night Caribbean Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Seabourn Ovation

We chose Seabourn Ovation as we wanted a small ship, quality cruise without too much formality and found the perfect match with Seabourn. We have read some other recent reviews and are at a loss to understand some of the negative and insulting comments that have been made, certainly it was not a floating retirement home when we were on board, although granted it does have a higher proportion of ...

Life is Great on the Wind Surf

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Wind Surf

We have been sailing with Windstar Cruises since 1999, 28 cruises, 282 days. Windstar Cruise' s ships fit us, it is as easy as that. We love the smallness, the Wind Surf has huge roomy decks even on a full ship it is easy to fine a private, quiet spot. Being a foodie with lots of knowledge we love that the buffets are really not, they are a small fruit bar in the morning with a few sides and at ...

Great Times on the Wind Surf

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Wind Surf

First, we are a French-Canadian couple in our late 50’s/early 60’s from Quebec. We have sailed numerous times with Windstar since 2013 (4 Star Yacht Club members). All our cruises have been in the Caribbean with cruises on the Wind Star, Star Pride, Star Legend and Wind Surf. What we love about Windstar (and still do after 11 years of cruising with them) is the small ships, the fact you can do ...

After some time in Panama City and a slow trip back home, our bags are unpacked and I am now provide this very subjective, but hopefully balance, review. Overall, we had an excellent cruise with good to excellent food and service. By way of background, we have only sailed on Oceania and this was our 6th cruise with them. Embarkation We had registered for a 12:30 boarding time but found ...

A very pleasant cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Sirena

First Time Cruiser • Age 70s

The Sirena is one of 4 small ships owned by the upmarket Oceania Cruises. The selling features are its small size, under 700 passengers, no crowds, lines, and children. The officers, staff and crew could not have been nicer. I was impressed by Carson Turner, a super - talented cruise director… a really affable guy who is also a talented singer and performer. Actually, the entire ...

A Wonderful Way To Spend The Holidays

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Crystal Serenity

We selected this cruise to cruise over the Christmas and New Year's Holidays and we had an amazing time. This was our fourth holiday cruise; all with Crystal and on Crystal Serenity. This is also our third voyage since since the inaugural cruise of Crystal this year. For those who used to like old Crystal, my view is new Crystal is like old Crystal but better. The crew makes Crystal very ...

A post-Covid cruise that I can honestly rave about

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

We wanted to do something different for the holidays but after being a bit disappointed by the high passenger loads and reduced staffing and services on some recent cruises, our expectations were a bit muted. Also we were not enthused about flying during such a busy time of year. As it turned out, the QM2's cruise to the Caribbean over Christmas and New Years was a very pleasant surprise. We ...

Maybe I'm spoiled from pre-pandemi cruising

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Insignia

User Avatar

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary/timing and the fact that Oceania is considered "near luxury". This ship has most assuredly seen its finer day. It is dated and old feeling. Peeling paint on bathroom door. Discolored areas around doors and floor in tiny (very, very tiny) shower. I was told that men were going to the Spa to shower because they couldn't fit into the shower. Now maybe ...

Good Cruise to the Amazon

Review for a South America Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

User Avatar

10+ Cruises • Age 60s

My wife and I just finished a 25 day cruise to the Amazon River in Brazil on the Regent Seven Seas Mariner. We are in our mid 60s and have cruised over 30 times mostly on Royal Caribbean and Norwegian. This was our first “luxury cruise”. The itinerary was round trip Miami with many stops in the Caribbean and 3 days up the Amazon River to Manaus, Brazil. Everything was included in the fare – ...
