Beware Spring Break

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Star Legend

Beware. Do not book this cruise over Spring Break- Caribbean. Beware of other voyages as well since Windstar apparently caters to these types of events and is oblivious to the impact on their repeat customers. Check if there are any large groups booked on your ship. The cruise we were on during Spring Break 2017 was terrible. The cruise was taken over by an outside party band and it was NOT ...

Cuba with University Alum

Review for a Cuba Cruise on Le Ponant

We were participants in a university alum travel group. It was appealing to explore Cuba while having a floating hotel. We love cruising and this was our first time on Le Ponant. The staff was outstanding - each was friendly and knew our names in no time. We were disappointed in the food and with the bed in the cabin. The snack food during happy hour was the best food on the trip. ...

Overrated, Overpriced - AVOID THIS CRUISE LINES.

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Seven Seas Explorer

Over priced. Ship is way overrated. Poor service, poor food, poor company. Only nice thing was the people we met. TERRIBLE customer service. The only thing Regent is efficient at is taking your money. Casino is very unfriendly. You can see the NCL touch - cheapening everything. They offer free side trips, but unless you book them months in advance - forget about them. Also, most people ...

Horrible Experience

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Wind Surf

We chose Wind Star because it is described as a small, intimate and luxury cruise experience. The ship The Wind Surf is old and shows her age with being built in 1989. I believe the ship was originally a Club Med ship. It really needs a total makeover. When we were to board, embarkation was not at its usual dock but more of an industrial dock so check in was chaotic and very long. We sat here ...

Not a Good One!

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Riviera

Well day 2 the norovirus struck the ship again. We were on this protocol the rest of the cruise even though after 10 days no new cases and down to 2 quarantined. The staff was doing their best but could never keep up. This was especially noticed by the last few days of the 14 day cruise. Terrace Cafe was a disaster with keeping up with food and service. We were not allowed to port in Aruba ...

We are 4 time cruisers on Oceania, 3 times on Riviera and 1 time on Marina. We LOVED Oceania! But this cruise was a huge disappointment!! First up was the food.. they advertise that its for foodies of which we are.. we did love their food and thought is was truly the best of all the lines we travelled on. On the first day (embarkation) at the Terrace Buffet (one of my favourite places to dine ...

Disappointed

Review for a Trans-Ocean Cruise on Regatta

We cruised last year on Regatta from Lima to Buenos Aires and had a fantastic voyage. We cruised this year from Rio to Miami. Very disappointed, would not choose Oceania again. -a definite lack of service throughout the ship. Asked for tea, water, and refills continually. Did not have cranberry juice or camomile tea available. Some days the omelet maker could not be bothered to get bacon or ...

Our First Cruise and Never Again!

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Riviera

We thought we would spend some extra money and book a highly rated cruise line with great service and food and amenities. Our expectations were shattered with this cruise! In a nutshell, this cruise line is too darn expensive for what we received!! First, there was the scare of the norovirus. On the previous cruise, the ship did have the norovirus and came in 2 days early in order to take ...

CRUISE ON THE OCEANIA RIVERIA DEPARING FEB 22, 2016. CABIN 7122 I have waited some time to reflect on this cruise, calm down and get over my disappointment and disgust. This was to be my first luxury cruise. As it turned out it was the cruise from hell for the reasons listed below. Because of the reasons listed below it will also be my last on an Oceania cruise ship. 1. No notification ...

Have to say. OCEANIA, honestly made our holiday " the holiday from hell..." Understand the NORO outbreak & the measures taken to help. At any time did they do try to make our life more comfortable or help. No staff. to busy applying wet chemicals, no Concierge lounges, no cooking class, no art classes, no gym class.. try 15 min for a cup of coffee then another 15 for the staff to ...
