Excellent cruise!

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Viking Star

Beautiful ship, just the right size with less than 1,000 guests. Cabin was roomy with a nice size bathroom. Shower even had a ledge to sit on making it easy to shave your legs! Room steward kept the cabin nice & neat. Food was delicious! Tried a few of the specialty dining rooms, but the main dining room was my favorite especially since we ate at the same time every night and enjoyed our ...

Problems with this cruise

Review for a Europe - River Cruise Cruise on Queen Isabel

We have traveled with Uniworld several times in the past and had always had wonderful experiences. This trip was not wonderful. I knew that this ship was leased by Uniworld but did not realize how much difference that would make. The worst time was when a group of 8 of us arrived at the designated meeting spot in Salamanca, Spain only to find that there was no Uniworld rep there to meet us. ...

Uniworld River Queen - Rhine and Mosel

The boat was nice, crew friendly, and well organized and food very good. Some points to consider: * We travel often and don’t use a travel agent. Being our first time with UW, we booked by phone. The customer service reps were less than helpful, and when notified of our “late” flight time, said that if we had read the small print in the contract we received a couple of days after ...

Best cruise ever

Review for a Europe - River Cruise Cruise on Joie de Vivre

Cruising on Uniworld Joi de Vivre was a pleasure almost beyond description. This small boat had an outstanding staff in every way. Open seating for the meals made dining a pleasure rather than the usual hassle of "cruise food". All inclusive really meant all inclusive. I had a 60.00 Euro bill when I checked out because of laundry and one extra excursion. (A great wine tasting). Our staff ...

Friends were going. Like traveling by ship with all of the amenities. Disappointed that we were not able to see more of Barcelona. The docks were too far from the center of town. The ship was awesome. Viking really catered to the older adult. Food was fantastic. I am to 2 other cruises on the same size ship. We were docked at the downtown area and were able walk on and off the ship. I would have ...

Enjoyed chef's table many nights: a different wine with each course. Also had dinner in Italian restaurant. No extra fee for specialty dining. Shore excursions were included at each port. We were able to do our own thing after excursions in most ports. The cabin was roomy and comfortable. The Explorer Lounge provided a meeting place for evening gatherings with new friends. We participated ...

We joined friends who had been on the Sky from Venice to Rome (port). We absolutely loved this trip. The stops were great, even though the weather was crummy. The crew was the best, especially the happy hour crew up front in the lounge. We liked it so much that we booked a 2 week British Isles explorer trip for summer 2019. We loved the drink package - it allowed us to try some things that we ...

This was our second Viking Ocean... fantastic! We love the ship, it is port-intensive,love the 2 days in port at the start and the end, the flowing wine at lunch and dinner, the heated bathroom floors, the wonderful staff, the mostly great food. We had a great cruise director and mostly good entertainment-- some even great! We didn't know that this was a repositioning cruise but we believe it ...

Letting Viking handle everything for spouse’s first trip to Europe

The Viking experience covered everything! Our early morning flight to Barcelona arrived early and there was our welcoming Viking Red waiting for us at the baggage claim. Private car transfer to precruise Renaissance hotel and into our room by 9:00 a.m. Talked with the Viking rep about the area and got great local recommendations. Transfer to ship, panoramic bus trip allowed the Sky and the ...
