We choice this cruise for 2 reasons. Number one was the itinerary and number two was the fact that we have previouslsly sailed with Oceania on the Marina, and were quite satisfied.
The overall cruise was fair at best. The ship was clean although there were some areas of deterioration. The greatest asset was the staff with the exception of the senior officers.

We've sailed 11 times on Oceania over the past 14 years. This is the first time we actually felt ready to disembark the ship and move on. We always felt Oceania was something special over the years, but they've cut a few too many corners this time. The ship felt overcrowded and understaffed. Just got off Wind Star legend Mediterranean cruise. What a total disappointment although the rooms were spacious and the ship was very clean. Everything else lacked luster. So many things were wrong with this cruise!
First and foremost, the reception desk girls were rude. When I asked a question I would mostly get one word answers. Eg. “Do you have a lost and found?” They answered “Here”. We have done 2 Viking river cruises but this was very disappointing. Poor communication concerning description of tours and difficulty of some walking tours. This is our third Oceania cruise. We were disappointed in the lack of communication and food. My experience in the cruise with food, beverage, staff and extra tours were good. The Chef and the whole kitchen team were ok and very friendly.
