Review for a South America Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

We had been on Regent Seven Seas Navigator before and had a great cruise. Everything was perfect, so when this cruise came up from Miami to Miami on Mariner into the Amazon, we booked the trip and looked so much forward to go. But already the first evening there was problems to go into the restaurant. They didn't have enough seat for people and we had to wait, for quite some time. It happened more ...

Amazing Experience on the Crystal Serenity

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Crystal Serenity

Had wanted to try Crystal since their purchase by Abercrombie and Kent following their emergence from bankruptcy by the previous owners. Had heard incredible stories about their excellent customer service and concern for their guests. Crystal surpassed those expectations and we cannot wait for the next one. Ship was immaculate and our Aquamarine Classic cabin was superb. Wife loved the Jacuzzi ...

Mostly Met Expectations

4 1/2 stars. We were a couple with a B2 balcony on the E Caribbean cruise and had sailed on sister ship Regatta in Fr Polynesia roughly a year earlier (recommended). I think the 'overview' description of both ships as being smaller and therefore 'quieter' with fewer activities is really useful for first-timers to understand. It's true that the passenger profile skews older but we met (and met ...

Cancellation of half of the original port of calls

We have chosen this itinerary mostly because Bocas del Toro stop - a remote destination to be reached only by boat or by plane. Due to a alleged mechanical problem, this stop has been cancelled and we spent a whole day docked at the entrance of Panama Canal, watching cargo ships all day long - very unpleasant. There was no plan B for such a huge inconvenient - we could have docked in one beach ...

Pleasant first cruise with some issues

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

This was our first cruise on a Regent Seven Seas ship. We've been cruising for over 30 years and have a lot of experience. Overall we enjoyed the experience on the Mariner, but would not likely sail on her again until she's been to dry dock for a refit and some needed repairs. This is an old ship and it's got some mechanical issues that will probably continue to haunt it until it gets dry ...

It was a great disappointment t say the least

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

My Husband and I were very excited to sail on our first Regent Cruise. We had heard a lot about the company from many of our friends. We are seasoned cruisers, mostly in retreat class on Celebrity. We are people who never complain. The glass is half full not half empty, and the upsets on this cruise were so bad that it ruined my trip. The worst thing is friends are asking me how my trip was ...

Needs serious refurbishing

We chose this cruise because of an ACBL sponsored on-board duplicate bridge tournament and because it stopped at ports I had not been to previously. This review is of the Regent Seven Seas Mariner in particular, a ship which should have been taken out of service and given a major upgrade. One should have a compelling reason to book on this ship while it is in this condition. The toilets in ...

Romantic Cruise For Golden Couple

Crystal was recommended by our doctor friend who had just returned from Iceland and knows our high standards and needs. After an easy non stop fight from Vancouver we boarded with great excitement and warm welcomes. The fish at dinner was suitably mahi mahi for the Caribbean. When the evening entertainment opened with the beautiful Nadiya on violin and Raphael in his whites on trumpet we knew ...

What has happened to Oceania?

Review for a South America Cruise on Sirena

User Avatar

Oceania has always been my favorite cruise line. The last two cruises have changed my mind. I traveled on Insignia in August and Sirena in November. On both cruises I missed what I had become accustomed to on Oceania which was tremendous food, attentive service and kindness/concern from the officers and staff. What I saw recently are over stressed workers who are stretched very thin, a decline in ...

Review for a South America Cruise on Sirena

This is our third cruise on Oceania, out of about sixty cruises overall, a 24 day Amazon River cruise beginning and ending in Miami.. It was among our most disappointing cruise experiences. Oceania is usually classed as an “Upper Premium” cruise line, one that sells itself as providing a luxury experience. What Oceania provided on Sirena was at best a premium product. Cutbacks are evident ...
