I have sailed on the Wind Surf many times, and have 4-Star Yacht Club privileges. But my past voyages have always been with my wife and sometimes with another couple. I have planned many group travel adventures for my sports club (Ski Club of Washington, DC) and decided to give Windstar a try. I contacted Amy Conover, who is a Director of Charter and Incentive Sales, whom I had previously met on ...
This was our first Regent cruise and it lived up to all our expectations and more.....
From the moment we stepped on board we knew it was going to be Special. A bottle of champagne on ice and a beautiful white orchid on the table awaited us in our cabin.
The attention to detail with the ships decor was exceptional. Beautiful fresh flower arrangements were in all the Public areas and ...
Seven Seas Splendor is a newer ship with a lot of good facilities, food and staff, however the destination services staff had a lot of issues on our cruise. First, they had no personality and when you went to their desk they gave the attitude they could care less. They also messed up the tour ticket distribution for about 1/2 the tickets on the second part of our cruise. They also provided no ...
We echo the sentiments of many other cruisers who cruised Regent prior to the pandemic: it is simply NOT the same experience. You could summarize by saying that it’s uneven at best. Here is why:
PROS: best cabin experience ever…level E cabin. Super comfy bed facing window, tons of storage, spacious bathroom, wonderful lighting and sizeable balcony. Cabin attendants attentive and professional ...
The best service and dining possible. Everyone helpful and cordial. Everything organized perfectly.
If you want a nice mature group of passengers that are well traveled, respectful of one another, are friendly and courteous, this is the place to be. If you want roller coasters, rock climbing and blearing rock music all day, maybe not.
All restaurants are wonderful. The open air seating ...
After 4 previous sailings on Celebrity, we wanted to experience "ultra luxury cruising." We are an active couple in our early 70's and often felt that the bulk of activities on board were geared to elderly people preferring a slower pace or being content to read books, play mahjong, bridge and participate in trivia tournaments. The Seabourn Square was an incredibly sleepy area (like being in a ...
We chose this cruise to avoid winter snow up north. We have visited the Caribbean many times so the excursions and sightseeing were less important than getting away and relaxing. I gained six pounds from eating the food which was excellent. We ate almost all of our meals at the Terrace Grill which offered lobster tails, fish, lamb chops, shrimp, steaks at lunch and dinner. They had carving ...
Normally, Oceania is our go to cruise line with smaller less crowded ships and fabulous cuisine. 2/3rds into this cruise we woke to raw sewage spewing up through the shower drain and spilling into the room. At first, they claimed they would have us back in the room after cleanup, which of course was ludicrous given sewage on and under the carpet. Oceania had offered a measly amount discount for a ...
Sirena January 24-
Cabin stewards and wait staff are, as always, terrific. We've cruised with Oceania for years and we are continually impressed. I can't say enough about the over-worked people who make the beds and carry the trays and swab the decks. They are just about universally accommodating and pleasant.
I suspect that the staff has been significantly reduced. Before Covid the waiters ...
We enjoyed our 7 day cruise on Ovation in the Caribbean. Seabourn is truly all inclusive. Most cabins on this ship are basically identical other than location (there are a few larger cabins but most are the same). There’s no reason to pay extra for on ship experiences other than the spa or the casino or shops. We paid for a cabana in the Retreat and for a special wine dinner, but for the $ ...
