There was so much that went wrong it would take too long to write but in brief, no vaccination checks at departure, ship full of cold/cough/covid with no extra precautions or cleansing/sanitizing, Cunard blatantly lied about dry dock fiasco, propeller was in Cadiz on previous cruise where an attempt to replace was unsuccessful, they knew before we boarded, Lisbon would be cancelled confirmed by ...
The food was very poor couldn’t even get a decent muffin - I lost weight. This is my 15th cruise so I know what things should be. Sea Days hardly anything to do, not like other Cruises.
Our first time with Oceania we met a couple who have sailed with them 4 times and they wanted an upgrade they had to pay $500.00 for it when the ship was only 3/4 full no loyalty perks for them can you believe ...
This is MY REVIEW
Flight were scheduled by Star Clippers travel. My 12:30AM departure flight was cancelled when I arrived at the airport 2 hours early so I was without sleep for over 24 hours! Why didn't they send me day before and do overnight and fly next day to Barbados?? There was no way to speak to the person who does the booking.
When I finally arrived around 10PM at night (the ...
We looked forward to this cruise as it marked my retirement and my wife’s birthday, we had had to save for this one and had handed over our hard earned cash with pleasure we loved being cosseted by Cunard’s attentive staff. This would be the 12th or so cruise and our second 28 night cruise with them. So we knew what to expect. Lovely.
We joined the QM2 as scheduled following a Covid test each. ...
We have sailed with Cunard since 1996 (Diamond Members) and this cruise was our first since covid lockdown
we were a family party of four (two Accessible cabins)
From start to finish it was one problem after another and it was clear that whatever cost cutting Cunard could make to try to recover some of their losses they did. Social distancing was a joke, we had a table of four and the next ...
What a disappointment. Destinations were changed at least three times and itineraries cancelled at the last minute due to the coronavirus. Independent travelers were treated like second class citizens and given NO ASSISTANCE whatsoever from the QM2's staff. Passengers were forced to pay thousands of dollars to change flights countless times. The ship offered NO help to those passengers who did ...
The cruise itself was great. The rooms are large and well appointed, and the food is overall pretty excellent. It's amazing that we were at sea for more than a week, and yet they were still able to provide outstanding fruits and salads. The Thomas Keller restaurant is intimate and outstanding and worth doing at least once during the cruise, and there's no extra charge.
The service was very ...
This cruise was a treat for a special occasion. All of Cunard's advertising exudes 'Luxury and Glamour'. We did not know that we had paid all that money to join the last leg of around the world cruise for a 'don't care home'!! Our checkin and boarding was a disaster as we were checked into the room I had booked, but in some one else's name! We subsequently were hawked about a couple of floors ...
My wife and I have just returned from the first two and a half legs of a QM2 world cruise. We were both in excellent health when we boarded this vessel but are now both suffering from coughs which we caught on QM2. I started coughing on 6th day of a 39 day cruise and although I paid to see the ships doctor the best he could do was offer a cough medicine, In Cape Town we did manage to get ...
Because it was over Christmas and New Year and visited Madeira which is a lovely port especially at this time of year.
We were disappointed that the rules regarding smoking cigarettes in the Churchill lounge were not adhered to. We spoke and wrote to the Captain but still the room was filled with female smokers - totally against the so -called rules. We have never experienced this ...
