Maybe my expectations were too high. Having cruised Oceania and Regent as well as many other lines, I was under the impression Azamara was 6 star. Embarkation and disembarkation were efficient and painless The staff were lovely, and very helpful , trying to sort out problems they didnt have the resources to. This was a trip with my husband and my 85 year old mother who was bereaved 6 months ago. My husband and I have cruised many times before with Cunard. First the good points, as always the cleaning, cabin, waiters etc staff second to non. They work hard and are paid little but do it all with a smile fantastic. The ship was spotless, lovely. My friend & I joined the QM2 on November 30th for 11 nights of relaxation & pampering. After a fairly short wait at check in we stepped on board the QM2 on deck 3 opposite the Champagne Bar to be met by a very nasty smell.
