1-10 of 15 Canary Islands Luxury Cruises Cruise Reviews
This cruise (our first with Cunard) was sold to us as a luxury cruise. I think there is a difference between luxury and tradition and I don't mean traditional in the sense of cruising in it's 'glory days' but traditional as in, how the world views the UK. Formal, polite, good table manners, royalists etc. There's no doubt it's a beautiful ship and Cunard as a company has a very interesting and ...
Chose this trip because of itinerary and good experience we had on prior Oceania cruises.
With the funds spent to refurbish this ship, we expected more. We found no WOW factor anywhere. Having recently traveled on the Marina, we found the food here to be disappointing.
We found several of our shore excursion guides less than satisfactory -- some did not keep group together, some lacked ...
...some aspects of the cruise which let Cunard down. There were two of us. We booked two balcony cabins next door one another for single occupancy. Cunard certainly knows how to charge for these! The embarkation process was rapid and totally efficient. They mislaid one of my suitcases but hey, they found it again some time later. The balcony BB cabin on deck 7 (a deck to be recommended) was ...
Boarding comfortable, cabin more luxuous than the 2 other ships. Bath tub in marble.
From deck 5 on the Wind pride easy access to the front of the ship very convenient for sea birds and sea mammals photography.
On club med 2 access is farer from the sea level .
The star pride dining room is basically in the basement deck 3 access to outside dining is limited in size and by meteorological ...
It is probably the main sales argument that Wind Surf only carries around three hundred passengers. And the ship certainly has great potential. Unfortunately, that potential is not used fully. This cruise’s itinerary, the ship being only 2/3 full, took us from Lisboa to the Canary Islands with 2 stops in Morocco on the way. The small island of La Gomera was probably the highlight of the cruise ...
This was our second cruise with Cunard - the first was on the Mary on the first leg of her World Trip.
The ship is beautifully appointed. We started off the cruise in a balcony cabin but after four days we moved to a cabin in the Princess Grill. As a consequence we ate in both the Brittania Dining room and the Princess Grill dining room and I have to say the food was excellent in both. The ...
Following a 12 night trip on the Queen Mary 2 to the Canary Islands my wife and I feel impelled to express our concern about falling standards on Cunard's flagship. This was our fifth trip on the QM2 and we feel that the ambience of the ship has deteriorated from five to three-star.
We twice had to summon a plumber when the flush mechanism failed on our cabin toilet, the second time as my wife ...
We were on the Christmas Cruise to the Canary Islands, we paid the Cunard Fare so we had a very nice cabin with balcony, The food was very good except for Christmas Day we were expecting something a bit special but were disappointed. the entertainment was very poor, in fact, some of it was an insult to our intelligence I have seen better entertainment at children,s parties. Santa visited the ...
We did a back to back starting on the 7th December and finishing on the 29th December.
Embarkation was okay, as we had booked the Hilton cruise package we had to arrive when the coach brought us which wasn't the time on our ticket. We got there about 12 and all the booking/reception staff were all at their stations with everyone waiting over half an hour before they started loading by priority ...
The cruise was ok, not fabulous as I was expecting. The book in was good, no problems apart from loosing a case for a short while. The Kings Court food hall or as I would describe it canteen was poor throughout. Food was at best slightly warm, staff surly, food usually cold and overcooked. The Nova virus meant that everyone had to be served. That meant rationing, I challenged the tiny portions and ...
