We have been very pleased with our suite. We were upgraded to a queens grill penthouse. ALTHOUGH WE PROBABLY HAD OVERPAID INITIALLY BECAUSE WE BOOKED WELL IN advance and prices were later reduced!
The catering has been excellent and the staff have been wonderful.
My complaint concerns shore excursions which have been poor. In mauritius we were travelling in a poor quality coach. There was ...
We are fairly experienced "cruisers" having been on 8 cruises with Viking, four with Norwegian, and one each on Holland America and UniWorld. Obviously, Viking is our "go to" cruise line (we have three more ocean and two river cruises booked through the spring of 2026). We chose this Azamara cruise because the itinerary offered stops that weren't readily available. This was a repositioning cruise, ...
The Azamara Pursuit provides a good, solid, mid-market/premium experience. Embarkation was almost too fast and efficient. The staff had us aboard the ship, being hustled to the safety briefing. before we knew it. We felt we missed out on the joy of arriving and embarking on a new cruise adventure.
The ship is comfortable and well maintained, the crew is friendly and helpful. The number of ...
This South Atlantic crossing disembarked at Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Most guests from US, Canada and Australia had endured the nightmare of obtaining the Brazilian visitor visa prior to the cruise. At the last moment the Brazil government postponed the visa requirement due to the mishandling of VFS Global, the Brazil government visa application agent. This was the most talked about topic amongst ...
Special birthday pressie to ourselves. Much prefer a smaller ship and the Pursuit turned out to be only half full which whilst even more comfortable for us must have been a disappointment for Azamara. Did mean there were numerous quiet places around the ship where passengers could sit etc and it was rare to struggle to get a seat anywhere. Despite the obvious spare capacity upgrades were very ...
Our first cruise since 2012. Everything on Marina lived up to what we remember in terms of great and attentive service. there are always a few crew members who show indifference but the vast majority were wonderful. The measure of service is whether the service during the last 36 hours of a cruise was a good as the first 36. Oceania pretty much nailed it.
The Spanish Market dinners in the ...
Crystal is my "go to" luxury cruise line. Having been on >50 cruises all together. I have always been totally impressed with the Enrichment, entertainment food and crew. I have also been labeled as someone with "high standards". The words that you often hear about the new crystal is "better than ever". My previous crystal cruises I have rated as A-A+! This one roundtrip Miami on Serenity was IMO a ...
Dear mario 1,
Thank you for choosing to sail with Crystal once again. It is lovely to hear that you enjoyed our remarkable boarding process, entertainment, and enrichment opportunities. We...
We boarded in Barcelona for a Transatlantic cruise to New York before continuing to Montreal. Although comfortable the ship is looking its age with a surprising amount of silicone apparent in the cabin, and once you see that your eye is of course drawn to other deficiencies, of which there are many.
To summarise: The good:
All the staff were happy, courteous and obliging. To name a few, our ...
Great 10 night cruise through the Med.
Pros : Food is excellent, specially the compass rose.
Service is where regent excels, just outstanding.
Great excursions
Bar and beverage options are really good, high quality and plentiful.
Ships clientele is really interesting
Small ship, so entertainment is pretty limited but ...
For our first cruise embarking from a port outside the U.S. and our first cruise w/ Azamara, what an experience South Africa was! Not that we’re new to cruising. It’s just that the 25 or so cruises we’ve taken over the years haven’t been quite as memorable or immersive as this one. Our key takeaway… We really do prefer the atmosphere, service, and conviviality of smaller ship cruising, and the ...
