What did they spend 20+ million on??

Review for a Europe - Greek Isles Cruise on Celestyal Journey

The itinerary was excellent. Food very good. Service good exception reception staff. Very rude. I guess tired of hearing the passengers complaining. JD & his staff at the Martini Bar were great. The Pink Moon staff (Pablo, Amanda & especially Nelson & Amaury) were awesome. But so much was wrong. Not sure what they spent 20+ million on to refurbish this ship. I changed cabins 4 times because the ...

Wonderful Time visiting Greece Islands

Review for a Europe - Greek Isles Cruise on Celestyal Journey

We chose Celestyal Cruise Line mainly for its itinerary. This cruise line had the best options for Greek Islands as well as spent the most amount of time at the ports we wanted most (Santorini and Mykonos). We were in an SG suite and the room was much nicer than I anticipated, with ample room for my family of three. Boarding for this cruise line was unlike any I have ever been on. Our ...

Staff Made it Happen!

We actually had a great time on this cruise, although some of the reviews are pretty accurate with regard to the plumbing and mechanical challenges the boat had with hot water, water pressure, air, TV, water leaks, toilet, etc. But, it was a bit of a shakedown cruise for the company and I’m sure they will work through all of that if they haven’t already. When we arrived the embarkation process ...

Shame about the water in the cabin

We had been on the Celestyal Crystal in 2019, and decided to repeat it as the itinerary was much better and we love Greece. Anyway, we had a deck 10 junior suite with balcony. embarkation was quick and easy, the cabin was fine, we thought. We got up on Sunday to find no hot water, cured by maintenance after 30 mins! Monday and Tuesday mornings it was barely lukewarm. Wednesday no hot water at ...

Not a quality cruise line

I realized the ship when booking was older but had been under renovation. However the food was very limited and the same every night on the breakfast and dinner buffet with limited hours. If you are looking for a happy hr pool side snack Buffett or late night it does not exist. Our room had wet carpet that I talked to them about 6 times but nothing ever was fixed or followed up on. The TVs and ...

We choose this cruise specifically for the itinerary. The over nights in Mykonos and Santorini were the deciding factor. I have been on over 30 cruises with multiple cruise line and I can honestly say this ship was not ready for passengers. We were on the maiden voyage of the Journey and found out that the crew arrived the same morning as the passengers. The ship was not cleaned, it was in fact ...

This has been my first trip and I am a solo traveller. I was a bit sceptical after reading all the reviews but this cruise and the staff exceed my expectations. I stayed in the cruise four nights and I couldn't have packed more things or visited more places in such little time. Every day plenty of activities to keep you occupied and fit in the boat. From Greek lessons to south American ...

Buyer beware!

If you have cruised on larger ships with a variety of decent food options and amenities, this ship is not for you or maybe any Celestyal cruise. I have been cruising for over 25 years and have had some bumps but this experience was subpar, a 2.5 is more accurate rather than a 3. I made this selection for the ports and as the lovely people at the Celestyal call center explained the staff and food ...
