My husband and I chose this cruise because we wanted to go through the new canal and end up in Miami to visit friends.
The ugly, embarkation process was a joke. Many passengers did not get on the ship until late afternoon, total confusion by the staff at the terminal. Many staterooms were not ready until four.

We wanted to do the Panama Canal, so we booked this cruise. Shortly after booking it in September 2022 they cancelled stops in Costa Rica and Nicaragua without a reason or refund. Then in December they sent a notice stating the ship would sail from Berth 46 in Los Angeles. I chose this cruise since the Panama Canal was a bucket list along with going to Panama, Costa Rica and other countries. I booked this cruise April 2022. Approximately 10 days after final payment a new itinerary was sent out taking away Nicaraqua, Costa Rica and our 1 1/2 day in Panama reduced to 4-11 PM. This was our 6th cruise with Norwegian and our 15th cruise
It started with embarkation in san Pedro we checked in online and they gave us a time to show up at port. Only to find a large tent in a parking lot with a 3hr line to check in this was the worst experience ever . Never seen such disorganization.

The NCL Bliss exceeded our expectations and is an upgrade f.i. compared with the NCL Getaway. It is a busy ship, but restaurants and pools are always accessable without waiting. Lots of loungers available at the pool, even on seedays!

Overall, the cruise was enjoyable. The crew did their best despite recent staffing cuts. Ship’s officers (with a few exceptions) appeared wanting. One of the notable positive exceptions was Marites Sonza, who appeared to be everywhere attempting to make sure everything was flowing smoothly!

We recently sailed on the bliss through the Panama Canal. From L.A. to Miami.
Norwegian picked us up at the airport. The Staff were still learning the ropes. Some confusion about where to board the bus to the ship. Had to walk to a second area to reach the bus. Only one person was injured boarding the bus.
