We chose the Half World cruise as a way to escape winter and to get to the Arab countries where we wanted to tour. Cruising is always pleasant and so my rating is relative to other cruises we've done. Generally the food was ok (what you might expect at Denny's) and the ride not to bad (for us) even when the seas were rough. But nothing was impressive and the entertainment was VERY lame. You can ...
Review of Viking Sky 2023/24 World Cruise.
For 4 months per year my wife and I have been avid cruisers. Firstly 18 with Azamara, but since their sad decline we switched to Viking. Now with 8 completed, and enjoyed, it was sad to see how far Viking standards have fallen. We found this on our recent segmented 2 legs on this world cruise. This was after we were initially notified that we were ...
For us this was the cruise of a life time for us. Celebrating a Birthday, 45th wedding anniversary and retirement Cruise. We live on the east coast. And proberly will not go west ever again. So we picked this one. The itinerary was great. The island of Moorea was the most beautiful island we have ever seen. True paradise. We have seen every island in the Caribbean, nothing even comes close.
Oh ...
Regent, “an unrivaled experience” is one I have no intention of replicating. Here is a rundown:
1. Arrival at airport was disorganized. After waiting about 15 minutes in airport we waited about another 45 minutes at the curb.
2. Next morning at hotel, breakfast ended at nine am with checkout at noon then a wait of a further hour+ before bus to port. On the way to port the bus driver kept ...
Our 20th cruise with Princess, 20 days on the Crown in January/Feburary 2019, was one of the three best we’ve taken with this line, thanks to the creative activity and entertainment options on board. (You can read my review here on CC). Our 21st Princess cruise, through the Panama Canal December 3-18, was, on board at least, pretty much the worst. We felt like second-class citizens because of the ...
Staff were fantastic but this cruise was 95% retirees over the age of 70. The activities were designed to entertain the same age bracket. We are late 40s and found the activities boring and the demographics were way too old. Other than great pools, there was nothing to entertain our age bracket. The internet was terrible, too slow and lots of drop outs. The room service was great, although no ...
We saved up quite a while for this dream vacation of a lifetime on Princess Cruise Lines. We were very disappointed in our balcony stateroom and even more disappointed in the lack of response from Princess Cruise Limes customer service and passenger services.
When booking our cruise and choosing our balcony stateroom, we selected a top floor (Lido 15th floor) balcony room at the front of the ...
Ports of call were good - not excellent! Why stop at locations that have nothing to offer? An example woud be Hilo, Hawaii.
The destination personnel were not well trained. Priority guests were not treated like priorities! In most situations - waitlist was an imaginary item.
Basically I would say the ship personnel were very friendly and dedicated employees. Upper management needs to ...
airlines beat up my electric wheel chair. Princess wanted $20.00 per day to use one of their many many wheel chairs. I was almost trapped in my room for 28 days. Also they didn't have much to do one the days at sea. No cooking classes, special events and such. A very stupid ceremony for crossing the equator. It was chocolate sauce, hot sauce and such poured over the people. Also the movies really ...
Could not believe how bad this cruise was. First the positive: great enrichment speakers, cabin steward and waiters at 5:30 seating were very good. While the TV did not have as many stations or screen qualiy as the Royal Princess (3 cruises in the last two years), the TV had a sleep timer on it while the Royal did not (Princess customer service was not aware that their new ships do not have ...
