Beginning on Day 1, we saw signs in the bathrooms on decks 5, 6, and 7 that said, "We're On it." It got worse with each of the 33 days on the ship -- to the point where you could NOT find an operational bathroom (both men's and women's).

My husband had never been to Hawaii so we chose this cruise. His biggest complaint on this ship is that the casino had not poker table.
It mostly met our expectations. The food was good, but not outstanding. The service in our dining room was excellent. It was sometimes slow at breakfast. The size of the buffet was small so therefore there was very little variety.

Embarkation with Medallion was a breeze.
Checked large luggage with porter at curbside. Direct to check in counter. Through security screening and onto the ship. Time was about 1 PM. We enjoyed our first cruise since 2019 on the Sapphire Princess, the crew were exceptional, some being new to this industry. Love the fact that we had managers pitching in with service to ensure we had a pleasant experience.

We chose this cruise for our honeymoon to Hawaii from LA. The crew were absolutely wonderful and couldn't have done enough for us. The entertainment was very good but I felt there were too much reliance on singers rather than varied performances and everything shut down at 11pm. We were aboard the first Sapphire Princess cruise (10 days R/T LA to Mexico) after she was out of service for 2+ years.
Here's what I found:
This was truly a shakedown cruise.
Minor "technical" issues such as elevators out of service, A/C problems, sound system issues, were pretty frequent.
