Outstanding service. Good level of luxury.

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Island Princess

We had very good experience on another Princess cruise, and wanted to take one through the Panama Canal. This one proved to be just as good. Food, stateroom, entertainment, and service were of high quality. As expected. We enjoyed the luxury and attention to detail. Communication was efficient. There were some glitches with their MedallionClass app, which were handled by the staff as best they ...

Great Cruise

This cruise met our time and destination requirements. The Island Princess is just the right size to go thru the old locks of the Panama Canal. Having sailed on this ship in the past we knew it was one of the best in the Princess fleet. The people we met on the ship were wonderful. The Crooners bar was the prime meeting place on the ship for a great many people. We certainly looked forward ...

We chose this cruise in order to experience the Panama Canal transit. We were welcomed at the airport and transported to the ship. Embarkment processing was completed within five minutes and disembarking from ship to shore was completed within 15 minutes. Our cabin stewart did an amazing job as well as our dining waiter. The meals were great and the main show each evening kept you well ...

Loved the Island Princess

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Island Princess

We have completed a Coastal California cruise previously and had such a nice time we wanted to take the cruise again. We loved the Island Princess. It is a smaller ship but great for those cruisers who like to meet people and enjoy a smaller ship experience. Lots of wood used which made it seem warm and inviting. Entertainment was really good with a standing ovation one night for one ...

15 Days Panama Canal - Sep 26, 2018

We truely enjoyed the Panama Canal transit experience from Pacific Ocean to Atlantic Ocean. We had a balcony room on deck 11 (Baja) in mid ship area. The room was comfortable although we found the mattress a little bit soft to our liking. The room steward did a good service making us feel like home every day. He always open the door for us when he is near our room. Princess crews did a ...

This Was a Very Nice Cruise (15 Day Panama Canal)

All port excursions (all booked through Princess) were great. The Aromas and Flavors of Cartagena was a bit shorter than we expected, but the food was great. I recommend the balcony dinner for two (stead and lobster) and save your appetite. They serve you a lot of food! The cost is $99. There is a service provided at disembarkation to have your luggage picked up on your last day and ...

Short But Sweet

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Island Princess

This was our first time taking a short cruise (4 days), to our surprise, it felt like a 2 week cruise. Perhaps the short time forces us to enjoy every minute of it, and we really did. The short cruise eliminated the formal nights which was great because it had meant less things to pack, less things to change, less time spent getting ready to eat. I've been to many cruises, but this was the ...

I wrote how great the shore excursion in Victoria at Craigdarroach Castle was, how we'd done Butchart x2, how great the food at Horizon Court was, how we seldom got to restuarants even tho so pretty cuz loved buffet so much! The sea was rockier than expected so didn't get much sleep, glad of entertainment. Best was Amethyst Trio wAlex & 2 violinists, wowza! Staff was great, esp Leo our ...

A Working Vacation

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Island Princess

I am self employed and booked this trip a couple days before departure, treating it as a working vacation with a change of scenery. Traveling alone, I just wanted to eat, sleep, and work (mostly reading). By all accounts, it was a success. Shows/Events/Bars/Casino/Internet/Pools/Excursions: Didn’t do a single one, so can’t comment. Staff: There was definitely a language barrier for many of ...
