"We had three days of cold or lukewarm showers that 3 different princess mechanics were unable to fix, Finally the 4th one fixed the issue, but why did it take 3 days?Pools: 4 pools , not heated, so too cold to swim on the first two days, and then increasing comfortable as the air temperature increased as we approached the canal...."Read More

1-10 of 47 Princess Emerald Princess Cruise Reviews for for the Disabled to the Panama Canal & Central America from Los Angeles
We chose this cruise mainly because it was going through the Panama Canal which was fantastic, but unfortunately two of the original stops got cancelled, the stop in San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua got cancelled just a short time after booking and Grand Cayman got cancelled as the swell was to bad for the tenders.
Pros:
All the staff were excellent
The Medallion App seemed to work well
The ...
We are Long time Holland American Cruisers that took this cruise with Princess due to the timing and destination.
Room: This obstructed view is fine from the view standpoint, it is at the top of the stairs from the promenade, but that was not an issue. The first 4 rooms on this deck including this one are narrower than other rooms and also have the really annoying feature of having two ...
This has our 17th cruise (not all with Princess) so we are not new to cruise ships. This was the worst cruise of all and we will not be sailing with Princess again. Sorry Princess but your services on the cruise have ruined it for us. The first day, we went on the ship tour and went up to the Lotus Spa. I asked about using the sauna/steam room and was told by the female attendant the there would ...
Chose this ship because it had a Pickleball court and we wanted to play a lot on sea days. On the first day we headed to deck 19 to play only to discover that the plastic playing surface did not allow the ball to bounce at all. The net was in disrepair and everything was covered in soot from the smoke stack. Not possible to play and sure why the court even exists.
On day 2 I went to the Fitness ...
The Emerald Princess is a roomy ship with plenty of outdoor space. I was most impressed with all of the staff. Shows were great. I did notice some cutbacks in the choices of food in the MDR. Overall, it was a great trip. Plenty of daily actives and enjoyed the pool at the back of the ship. Our third trip on the Emerald, we had never gone thru the Panama Canal or been to the ports of Huatulco, ...
If you are considering Princess, I would seriously urge you to reconsider. Since Covid their standards have dropped, smaller meals, cheaper ingredients in meals etc. - probably industry-wide. However other practices amount to scams. My wife and I have sailed Princess for over 20 cruises and are classed Elite with many benefits. Due to their loyalty program we have remained with them, but not ...
We chose this cruise because it is on our Daughter-In Law's bucket list and we were also interested in going through the Panama Canal.
Pros:
Crew friendly and personable
Cabin (balcony) OK
Embarkation very easy
Room service was great, especially morning coffee
International Cafe, Deck 5, great
Sabatini's speciality restaurant great
Crew very accomodating of passengers with ...
I did this cruise once before through the Old Locks and this was even a better experience. The entire passage through the locks was narrated by an experienced commentator and was also on the TV in my room so it was easy to appreciate it. I also was happy with all the ports selected. My balcony cabin on the port side was lovely.
Ports tours that I enjoyed were San Sebastian above Puerto ...
Had a great time on the emerald princess, wonderful weather, great food and service. Entertainment was enjoyable.
Back to back cruises, Panama Canal LOs Angeles to Fort Lauderdale, followed by a 14 days Circle the Caribbean.
If you like a great evening in a fun atmosphere I suggest the Wheelhouse bar on Deck 7 next to the Princess Theater. James Naldo acoustic guitar is a great way to ...
My wife and I took the 15 night ocean to ocean Panama Canal cruise. The ship was extremely well maintained and extremely clean. The level at which the crew kept everything disinfected was amazing. Onboard we were very happy except for one show Nerdy Noah which was so bad it made you wonder if Princess actually reviewed his performance before hand. It was just terrible.
We had three marvelous ...
