Great Itinerary, good service, bad drinks and wonky floors.

The good: The itinerary was great going to La Paz, Loretto, and Cabo. Loretto was canceled due to winds which was fine so we went to mazatlan instead. The crew was kind and attentative, Cabin steward was amazing as well. Bar staff worked hard and prioritized mobile orders which slowed things down a bit for walkups but they did great managing the rushes and were friendly to those at the bar ...

I was impressed with the Diamond Princess, it is a beautiful and modern ship and at no time does it feel too big (well, except when walking down the hall of the decks where only cabins are located, such as ours... the Baja Deck). I have been on 5 previous cruises and this is by far the nicest (and largest) ship I have cruised on so far. I went with my mom and step-father who live in Tampa. I ...

We Cruised on the Diamond Princess to the Mexican Riviera on April 14 2007. This was our 3rd Cruise we did this cruise last year on the Diamond's sister ship the Sapphire Princess as well as a 15 day Hawaiian Cruise on the Island Princess. We tried cruising last year and fell in love with cruising from day 1. We chose Princess because we had heard good things from family and once we tried Princess ...

For those of you who are sailing on the Diamond Princess...you are in for a real treat! We had a wonderful week on this beautiful ship to the Mexican Riviera. Here's our review: EMBARKATION: We arrived at the terminal at 10:30AM and waited until about 11:00 AM when Princess personnel began checking passengers in by stateroom deck. We checked in, gave them our express boarding passes, and were ...

Sungirl's Diamond Princess Review - Mexican Riviera - April 14-21, 2007 Captain Tony Yeomans Cruise Director Josh Dayboll After 11 cruises on Princess I have decided the Diamond and Sapphire are my favorite ships to date. EMBARKATION/DISEMBARKATION: I hired a private driver to take the three of us to the port from LAX. The cost was $55 each way including tip. The set taxi fare from the port to ...

The Diamond Princess is an absolutely beautiful ship with plenty of room for all those on board. Now that I've given you the headline, let me start at the beginning. DW and I cruised on the Diamond Princess to the Mexican Riviera in mid April. Coming from the cold Northeast we were looking forward to some warm sunny weather. We arrived in Los Angeles the day before our cruise. We had pre-booked ...

Embarkation - arrived at 1:30 and got on the ship within 30 minutes. Cabin - We had a mini-suite which was perfect for me and my wife and our 2 boys ages 6 & 9. It had a full bath with bathtub, queen bed for us with our own TV, sitting area with couch (sleeper), coffee table, chair and another TV for the kids, and a nice sized balcony with 4 chairs and a table. I wanted that balcony so bad but ...

This was the first trip together for sweetheart and me - and we had a lovely time on the Diamond Princess - a big and really impressive ship - a great cruise. My comments are mostly comparative in nature to Celebrity Cruises. This was my first time on Princess, and most of my prior cruise experience (9 other) has been on Celebrity. We chose this cruise because of its combination of proximity, ...

This was the very first cruise for my wife and I. We had always wanted to go, but never could find the right opportunity. This time we were celebrating one of our friend's birthdays. It was my wife and I and three of her friends. I have a friend who works at Princess so this was our obvious choice. We all love in the greater Los Angeles area so we simply drove to the port and parked there. The ...
