Repositioning Cruise

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Crown Princess

We chose this cruise because we live in Southern CA and it was less travel to be on a cruise. We haven't gone for a number of years, for obvious reasons, and looked forward to the days at sea, port activities, and the destinations. The first afternoon on the ship, we went to the "app" to get dinner reservations for that night and found out that we did NOT have dinner (table or time) for the entire ...

4 generations of our family flew to Los Angeles from BC for a week in Disneyland. This cruise brought us home with amazing stops in San Francisco, Astoria and Victoria. We intended to use the cruise to recover from Disneyland but found that there was just too much to do on the ship and in port. We enjoyed one formal night which gave the little ones a chance to dress as a little gentleman (3 year ...

First cruise on Princess (all prior cruise experience has been Holland America). I was asked to accompany my sister and her husband on their first-ever cruise (they picked this one). Pacific Coastal cruise San Diego/San Francisco/Astoria, OR/Victoria/Vancouver, BC. I understand that for security reasons my full legal name - as on my Passport, etc. - must be available to Princess for TSA ...

My first and last time on Princess!!!

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Crown Princess

I choose this cruise because of my 87 year old aunt, someone in her age group told her that they like Princess and that’s the one they use. There were issues from the time we made it to embarkment, it was a disaster the lines were wrapped around and issues with having enough porters to handle the luggage. Once aboard the ship, the steward assigned to our room introduced herself and I explained to ...

We chose this cruise because we were planning to fly to Hawaii and stay in Lahaina at a hotel or an Airbnb.Instead we found this cruise at a very reasonable price and decided to do two things, going back to Hawaii again, and doing it at a cost less than previously planned.Pluse we really enjoy the cruise expierence. We had several problems from start to finish, however i will say that the ship was ...

Nightmare

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Crown Princess

Chose cruise for destinations and celebration of 50th our anniversary and a 75 birthday. Food very average. I compared it to a step up from the Golden corral. Formal night diner proportion and selection undesirable and embarrassing to us for the wait staff to serve it. Overall communication insufficient. No Port talks as to what to expect or what to do if not on an excursion. Pay as you go ...

A disappointing cruise experience

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Crown Princess

The Crown Princess is an aging ship in need of some updating. Staterooms and public areas look past their prime. Some upholstery shabby, décor dated. Dining room menu seems to be in rotation every few days. Nothing of interest or originality. Poorly prepared at times and often smothered with some gravy or sauce seemingly meant to cover up what lies beneath. One of the more common offerings ...

We chose this cruise as my retirement cruise. My wife and I met in Pago Pago 37yrs ago and wanted to go back. After spending enough time there,we figured this was the best way to revisit where we met. We live in Honolulu and have been to Apia, and Tahiti. We hadn't been to Moorea or Bora Bora before and later Bora Bora was cancelled and a extended Papeete stay was scheduled. We booked on ...

Amazing South Pacific Cruise!

We embarked in the World Cruise Port in San Pedro, California. It was very fast and easy which was great. We had received our Medallions by mail, so it made it quick. I had bought 4 airtag wristbands online and they fit the Medallions perfectly. The Crown is not one of the new Princess ships, but she is wonderful just the same. Everything was kept clean and polished, and I enjoyed the wood and ...

Entertainment was hit and miss. More misses. The Hawaiian couple were very talented. Not only performing each day but even teaching ukulele and hula to passengers with a presentation at the end. The ship singers and dancers performed 2 shows over a 15 day cruise, really? The other nights were comedians, magicians, and game shows. The destination and subject matter speakers were good, even if ...
