I booked this cruise through my local travel agent to celebrate my daughter's 30th birthday. The food in the Provence restaurant was excellent served by very attentive staff. We looked forward to our evening meal each night and went there for breakfast most mornings. The buffet restaurant was really nice too offering a wide choice. Food was always fresh and appetizing. The international cafe was ...

we booked this cruise 18 months in advance through our pvp at Princess which we use all the time. arrived in LA two nights before the cruise and stayed at the Hilton in Long Beach, very nice place. Spent our free day before the cruise taking an LA guided tour with Sunseeker holidays, it was wonderful, saw everything we needed in eight hours. When we returned back to our hotel I checked our cruise ...

Wonderful Cruise on a Great Ship

I found this smaller ship to be just great. An older ship but well maintained. Lots of space and entertainment areas throughout the ship. Food in the dining room was very good. I have had better. Didn't eat at the Buffet except on a couple occasions. Food was good, fresh fruit made to order eggs delivered to your table which I had never seen before. The crew was very friendly and seemed to be a ...

Wonderful experience

Loved the Panama Canal day! Such history! Having Dr. Ryan narrating the day through the canal was an extra bonus. So many things that I learned and was not aware of. Plus he provided many other lectures during the cruise that were very interesting. The ports going from LA to Ft Lauderdale were good. The excursions we chose were good. Exciting to be at the edge of an active volcano in ...

Food was super. Interesting changes at buffet. Lobster twice in main dining. Shows were good. Especially Scott Wyler. Voted entertainer of the year for Princess was so funny. The Universse showroom has sofas and arm chairs. Great for shows and movies. Tv did not offer too many channels. We missed seeing Olympics. A few channels like nbc and cbs would be nice. CNN too. The movies were current and ...

Great cruise, tired ship

Chose this cruise because we wanted to do a full Panama Canal transit, and chose Coral rather than Island Princess because it had had a more recent refit. However, the ship is still tired looking. The furniture in the cabins is shabby, the hairdryers are from the dark ages, the showers are the smallest I’ve ever encountered. However we still had a great time. Most of the staff are great, yes ...

Not as expected

We have sailed at least ten times on Celebrity and decided to try Princess as the dates and the price lined up nicely. To begin, it is an older ship but kept in excellent condition, however, certain structural problems could not be updated due to age. The shower is tiny tiny, and I doubt if anyone weighing over 200 pounds could even fit. They have no chest of drawers for clothing but shelves in ...

Surprisingly excellent cruise vacation

The itinerary, the size of the ship, and the reasonable price made this a second choice when our Voyages to Antiquity Cuba/Yucatan two week cruise was cancelled by the company. Knowing what I know now, it would have been a first choice. We missed Cuba and the Yucatan, but we had an awesome vacation with Princess, enjoyed the ship, and our acomodations. Most of all - rich in lectures and ...

Great Canal Experience

The overall cruise was great. This was our 7th cruise (5 with Princess and 2 with Celebrity). My wife and I feel the food on Princess is considerably better than on Celebrity. The Coral Princess ship is one of the smaller ships which was built specifically to go through the canal and as such there are a few disadvantages over the larger ships. We found that by selecting a dining time we were able ...

Lovely cruise through the Panama Canal on the Coral Princess

We were looking for a complete transit through the Panama Canal and opted for this particular cruise because we have had good experiences on Princess and because this 2-week cruise, between Thanksgiving and Christmas, seemed to offer some good deals on pricing between the cruise line and the travel agent. The Coral Princess is one of two Princess ships designed specifically for the canal, and on ...
