Nice common areas on deck - appreciated the stage area in a central spot that was consistent with music and entertainment throughout sea days and in the afternoons as cruisers were returning to the ship.

Disappointed

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

We chose this cruise because we liked the itinerary and wanted to try NCL, having cruised with Royal Caribbean and Celebrity and loved it, we thought we should try a different cruise line to compare. Overall we felt that this cruise was disappointing in most aspects, From friendliness of staff to organised activites, we felt that they fell short in comparison to other cruises and ships we were on. ...

Having sailed on 13 cruises on Carnival, Princess,Royal Caribbean,Celebrity and now our third on NCL; I can't tell you how disappointing this last cruise was. For the first time we splurged and went way over budget to garner an aft Penthouse Suite on the Jewel and boy is it WWWWWAAAAYYYY overpriced. We previously sailed in mini suites on the Breakaway and the Pearl. The Breakaway was really ...

Worst Cruise on NCL Thus Far

We were in Cabin 11531 Class MB Mini Suite right below the pool area. Worst location ever, constant running children and noise that we could barely tolerate. NCL even had the gall to tell we were upgraded to a mid-ship cabin; I would have rather stayed where were. I'm not getting seasick, and I actually enjoy the rocking of the boat. Food in the Garden Cafe has gotten almost inedible, and even ...

They will tell you don't need a passport to sell you the trip, then when it comes time to sail off they say you should have read the small Fine print! The rooms are small. And we had to change our room because it had a leaky toilet and the bathroom had mold growing up the walls. This was just a terrible experience from the beginning to the end. The entertainment was 2 comedians that were not funny ...

Worst Cruise to Date and Worse Customer Service!!!

This cruise was for a family reunion trip and was chosen by the whole group. We chose to sail out of California because this way the family could save on airline expenses. The ship at first glance was nice, but the customer service was horrible. On other cruise lines, I'm used to being greeted or at least acknowledged by various crew members, but on this cruise many staff would walk by and just ...

We tried this cruise ship to go to Mexico. The food was HORRENDOUS in most of the restaurants, specially at Chin Chin restaurant. We much preferred the food in the Garden Cafe to the specialy restaurants. The Haven breakfast had limited food and not very tasty... you can have special order but it wasnt cooked well and took a very long time to cook. Food was terrible... best food was in Garden ...

Worst cruising experience ever!

I chose this cruise because a holiday cruise has been on my bucket list for year. I can honestly say this cruise was terrible from start to finish, I counted the days to get the heck off the boat. Our 9:30am check in was fast but then proceeded to wait for over 1.5 hours to board the ship. Communication and direction from the staff was non-existent not to mention a terrible language barrier. Once ...

HORRIBLE FOOD

When you talk to people about cruising you hear about how great the food was. That's almost all you hear, it's for sure the first thing people say... Well, this food was disgusting. The first week was shocking...a raw grey hamburger, fishy fish, meat that was subpar, and a salad bar with dirty at times and wilted lettuce. The specialty restaurants (the french Bistro and La Cucina) had dreadful ...

Weirdest cruise I ever been on

I used this cruise as a goal for me to get through hip replacement and as a family vacation. We booked in February, and naturally been excited all the way down to boarding, a great time in store for us. Five day before sailing we were told Mazatlán would be removed from the list with an additional day in Puerto Vallarta. Travelling with seven others, not enough time to change to a different date. ...

Really bad cruise

NCL decided that our cruise would be a "maintenance" cruise. Which meant we missed 2/3 ports (Cabo and Mazatlan) because they wanted to work on the ship in Puerto Vallerta. That's not what we paid for at all. The captain tried to explain that this will help future cruises...but why would we care about future cruises? By day 6 we all just wanted to get off the boat, things became so boring. ...
