The New Crown Jewel of the Carnival Line!

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Panorama

We were so excited in anticipation of a brand new ship for Carnival on the West Coast leaving out of Long Beach, CA. This was so worth the wait. As background, we were on the early cruises of the Carnival Vista and had been greatly disappointed. The Vista was new and shiny, but was crowded and poorly designed. This gave us some hesitation because the Panorama is a Vista class ship. So we ...

We chose this cruise due to other family members having booked on same sail date. The great: Cruise director: Emma 500 stars. She is a ball of energy and engages people easily in activities, her personality is amazing. Cabin: Balcony 9th deck starboard side towards the bow - great room, room for 4 with a pull down bed from the ceiling. View is amazing. The bike ride: fantastic, ...

This is our 10th cruise with Princess and first on the Royal ( though we have sailed on her sister the Regal 2xs) . The ship was wonderful, from the mid ship balcony room to the lux Thermal Suite ( called “Enclave”). The only downside was one of the two production shows had technical difficulties and could not be shown. We didn’t care much for the comedian or vocalists. But HUGE upside -The ...

I chose this cruise because I live in Southern California and there was no airfare involved. Also, the fact that it is a brand new ship. Now, that I've had some time to think more clearly I'm going to put some of my thoughts down about the Panorama. Where we were situated on the ship Deck 1, Cabin 1214 was not the best place to be. We had an outside cabin but could hear every noise possible at ...

First cruise and not disappointed!

We opted for the Royal Princess cruise on the Mexican Riviera mainly because it was close to where we live in California and because the ship had been updated recently and looked beautiful. We were not disappointed and from the beginning to the end of the cruise we were amazed by the service we were provided. First off, the ship was elegant, massive and spotless. Since there was 3 of us in a ...

Second time on the beautiful Royal Princess and FINALLY learned my way around this big ship! Ha ha! Seriously, the ship itself is absolutely impressive and stunning. Words can't even describe! - Staff: They were all really great, especially enjoyed the contagious enthusiasm of the cruise director, Marcus. He got people involved and remembered many passengers by name. - Cabin: Our cabin ...

We had a wonderful family cruise on the Panorama. We flew to LAX the day before and stayed at the Holiday Inn Downtown. The cruise passengers are a diverse group of all ages. Pros- The ship is big, you don’t feel like their are 4000 other passengers on board. Embarkation was easiest ever- we walked right on at 12:15. Rooms were ready at 1:30. Service was excellent. Staff is extremely friendly ...

One week of relaxation

The food was OK. The service in the dining room fair. The entertainment poor except for the comedian who was great. On Thursday night the cruise director waited until every passenger was seated to announce that the show was cancelled because of technical problems? Too many passengers. Elevators small and slow, the waiting was sometimes 5 minutes long. Royal Princess needs better photographers ...

5 Stars doesn't mean perfect, but it's still wonderful...

This was a cruise to celebrate my friend's birthday and a gift for 40 years of being best friends. I've sailed on a total of 34 cruises from 5 different cruise lines: Carnival, Princess, Royal Caribbean, NCL, and Celebrity. For perspective, my favorite, which tends to change over the years, is probably NCL, with Princess a close second. My wife's favorite (who didn't attend this one) is ...

we have cruised with Princess many times We live close to the port and like this itinerary and the cruise price was very favorable. The ship is in tip top condition and we were looking forward to experiencing the new medallion set up onboard. The medallion made embarkation a breeze and everyone gave it 5 stars, you have to become ocean ready by uploading your details to Princess about ...
