Panama Canal was a thrilling experience

We mainly chose this cruise because it was a round trip departing from Los Angeles (close to home), thus resulting in not having to be bothered with any airplane flights. Secondly, we had never experienced the Panama Canal and were extremely interested in this itinerary. What a delight from start to finish! Embarkation was smooth and easy, room was ready upon boarding! Luggage was delivered ...

Nice cruise, but beware of serious safety issues!

Safety issues first. This staff's response to safety concerns is woefully inadequate! I called from my stateroom to report smelling smoke in the hallway. I waited in the hall for 11(eleven) minutes. No one appeared. I called the front desk again, and three minutes later a front desk clerk arrived, followed by one person who appeared to be an engineer. Neither appeared to be in a hurry and seemed ...

Our mini suite was very comfortable and roomy for two ladies. The cabin room service was excellent, fast and the food was very good. Our cabin steward Gerald was always smiling, always available if we needed him. Our cabin was spotless. Dining was excellent our main dining room servers, Galin and Bernard Ombao were charming, comical and excellent servers. Many choices on Port and Shore ...

Our last Princess cruise

We chose the Panama Canal cruise because it was on our bucket list. The itinerary was great. We felt the cruise was overbooked, understaffed and over priced. Everything on board was pricey - excursions, drinks, photos and shops. Our 2 independent excursions were excellent. The ships excursions were not. The pastries were excellent. The rest of the food did not match the standards we expected ...

We chose this cruise to travel with friends over holiday and had a great time despite from the fact some in the party got sick! Overall I rated it three because the seafood was the only thing that tasted different.......the soups, salads and most entrees all tasted the same in the traditional dining every night! Lots of processed taste, institutional tastes..........not as fresh as the other ...

we booked our cabin on viewing it on the internet. Balcony mid ship 12th floor. Internet shows the cabin to be larger than normal but we have found out this is not true. Our cabin was clean and bed very comfortable our room Stewart was great. The crew was also very good and friendly. Dinner: not up to Princess standards our meals lacked flavor. one night corn chowder was on the menu and it ...

Captain Michele Tuvo is the best, the very best!!! He was every where, in the dining rooms, buffet, hallways, atrium, talking to passengers and employees, checking on everyone.....Everywhere. The host of the Anytime Dining was also just the best, he knew us by the 2nd or 3rd day. He was just the best. I didn't get his name, but he was from Romania. The most adorable manager of the ...

Wonderful holiday cruise

We chose this cruise to experiment with the idea of being away from home for the holidays. We have cruised with princess 30+ times so there is a certain comfort zone. We were very happy with the service, our cabin, the seasonal decor and observances - no complaints. The strength of the cruise was by far the ship and the staff - the itinerary was for us acruise to nowhere having been to all the ...

If you've never sailed during the holidays you are missing out. We choose this particular cruise aboard the Island Princess specifically for the dates that included Christmas and New Years. And the destination was a bonus as well. Having sailed with Princess twice before we knew a bit about how they operate but we were completely thrilled with this cruise. The Island Princess was beautiful, ...
