I've been on Princess before and enjoyed it and, this cruise fit the bill of covering two holidays and, as a bonus, friends were also going.
To begin with, I've been on almost 40 cruises this was the first ship I've been on where there was no sofa or chair in a balcony cabin. There was only the desk chair. Here's what was wrong with my cabin:
1. No place to sit
2. The bed was extremely ...
My husband (John) and I recently took our son, DIL, and (most importantly!) our two preteen grandchildren on a 15-day holiday cruise to Hawaii aboard the Crown Princess. We picked this cruise because of the itinerary and the fact that we had large credits from the canceled cruise segment of our Alaska cruise/tour (three of us tested positive for COVID-19 at the last lodge), which had to be used by ...
Entertainment. Poor overall. Didn’t warm to the cruise director personally, prefer a more mature director. No decent shows, only went to theatre once and that was enough.
Food. Started off ok but got better as the cruise went on. Didn’t feel the Crown Grill was as high end as we’ve had on previous Princess cruises but was still nice. Sabitinis excellent. Buffet was ok but food usually cold. ...
This is my first attempt at writing a review so I hope it helps future cruisers. This was our fist Princess cruise and probably last, for us, the dining experience is 30% of the cruise, and honesty very important.
Embarkation : We got lucky and rolled right through with a little unsolicited help from one of the ladies working the lines, but it looked like a free for all, caused mostly by ...
My wife and I had been on one other cruise prior to this one. It was on the Discovery Princess to Alaska in June, 2022. We enjoyed it very much. So we decided to take the 15-day cruise to Hawaii, from LA, on the Crown Princess in December 2022. There were no health restrictions required and we felt that it would be a safe trip. One of our hard-shell suitcases was cracked when it was delivered ...
First of all. let me say I had some trepidation after booking this cruise. We were originally booked on the Diamond Princess out of San Diego in October. We were anxious to have a Princess ship ported out of our hometown and yes it was "that" Diamond Princess of Covid fame. But unfortunately, Princess cancelled the cruise along with about seven or eight other San Diego departures due to a lack of ...
We chose the cruise because of the itinerary, travelled with two friends. We were all platinum members. We were looking forward to a relaxing time and excited for the planned stops. Stops at Bora Bora and Pago Pago were cancelled prior to the ships departure, very disappointing for many of the passengers. Understand this was out of Princess control. Embarkation at San Pedro was the easiest and ...
My wife and I love Princess cruises. We try to take them whenever we cruise. We have taken the Hawaii, South Pacific before and enjoyed it. This one was better then the last on, which was 5 years ago.
Embarkation was fast and smooth. From the time we arrived at to cruise terminal until we were on the ship took 15 minutes. I was concerned because my wife was considered unvaccinated so I thought ...
My husband had never been to Hawaii so we chose this cruise. His biggest complaint on this ship is that the casino had not poker table.
It mostly met our expectations. The food was good, but not outstanding. The service in our dining room was excellent. It was sometimes slow at breakfast. The size of the buffet was small so therefore there was very little variety.
The crowd was mostly older. ...
Embarkation with Medallion was a breeze.
Checked large luggage with porter at curbside. Direct to check in counter. Through security screening and onto the ship. Time was about 1 PM. Wanted to give staff time to complete changed over of staterooms. Went direct to the stateroom and it was ready, with our Elite mini bar set up. Shortly after walking into the room, our Stewart Miguel arrived ...
