Worst Way to Spend 15 Days Ever

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Carnival Miracle

I've been on over a dozen cruises; a few with Carnival. NEVER would I have thought to research to look for article written in April about problems with the ship. Prior to this cruise I said Norweigen was the "Yugo" of cruise lines; Carnival has beat them. First off, Carnival should have notified everyone at the time of booking about the article. Carnival wasn't "up front" with it's guests for ...

I have cruised more than 25 times, and by far this was the worst cruise I have experienced. I will however, start the the good. Food in the dining room was very, very good. Service IN THE DINNING ROOM was also very good. Now the the bad. This ship had many NEW crew who had no idea what they were doing. Our cabin steward had way too many rooms to clean, and ours was never thoroughly cleaned. ...

I have cruised many times with various cruise lines including Princess Cruises. My roommate was a first time cruiser. She had never visited Hawaii before. There were many smiles and welcoming handshakes and after that, all was downhill. The "buck" never stopped anywhere. We were nickelled and dimed to death in the Piazza when you had food at the International cafe, then went to get coffee next to ...

Disgusting conditions leaves me disgusted with Princess

For once, embarkation was easy. We were on the ship in no time at all. This was perhaps the highlight of the voyage. I booked a cruise and I got a floating hospital. I went to a port lecture and all I heard in the theater were wet hacking coughs in surround sound. I couldn't take it anymore and I left after 20 minutes. I ventured back for a few shows, same ubiquitous sickness, and never ...

Cruise to Hawaii...

Suffice to say my wife and I are seasoned cruisers having sailed quite a few of the Cruiselines over the last 25 years. We have done most of our cruising with Princess only because we wanted to accumulate the higher level. When we first cruised Princess it was one of the dominant cruiselines because of the TV show "Love Boat"...so we kept cruising with them because of their quality. In 2011 we ...

We (three couples, three upgraded balconies) were very disappointed with Princess and this cruise. As a Platinum cruiser with Princess, we are wondering if we should stay with Princess to make the magic 15 as a result of this cruise. We have been loyal cruisers with Princess for years because, we have so enjoyed everything about your cruise line, food, staff, vessels, etc. Until this ...

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Diamond Princess

Our 16 day cruise from 11-18-07 to 12-3-07 on the Diamond Princess was quite a disappointment. This was our 8th cruise (4th with Princess) and this was the worst one. Two days into our cruise we came down with the Norovirus and spent 7 days confined to our stateroom by the ships medical department. We later found that many others caught this Norovirus as well. We were told that if we were caught ...

Diamond Princess - Hawaii

This was our first Princess Cruise line trip. The reason we booked this one is that the ship was a 5 star rated ship, leaving a US port, going to Hawaii, and returning to the same US port. We have sailed on 15 other cruises. The check in procedure at the port was quick and easy, but getting on the ship was very slow. Once on the ship we immediately noticed that the crew were not as friendly as we ...

After slight fog bound delays at London Heathrow we arrived in San Pedro CA for our pre cruise hotel stay.Must state that the Hotel was only average and we could not get any food after 22.00hrs. Next day embarkation was a delight , less than one hour after leaving the hotel we were in our cabin,8046 which was a CC class.Initially the cabin smelt of stale smoke, after pointing this out to our ...

Queen Mary 2 (QM2) - Hawaii

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. The first 3 days were very windy and cold....in turn the ship was rocking a tremendous amount. We were sea sick for 3 days, as were many other passengers. The return from Hawaii was good weather, flat seas, but the ship still had a lot of rocking (no sick days though). We will never chose the QM2 again for a few reasons. The food didn't seem ...
