Let's see if I can make this short but efficient..... We did go out early and spent one night at the Holiday Inn downtown Long Beach, which was fine for the one night. Took advantage of late check out and toured the Queen Mary, which we highly recommend to any non-Californian. The free hotel shuttle also took us to our Island Princess when we were ready. We must have hit the crunch embarkation, ...

We booked the 4/21/06 sailing RT Hawaii on the Island Princess a year in advance and had high expectations. I can say, very honestly, these expectations were exceeded in every way. We are experienced cruisers, so keep that in mind. We flew to LAX a day early on Delta without any difficulty and spent the pre cruise night at the Long Beach Hilton. This was an acceptable hotel in a location which ...

My wife and I are fairly experienced cruisers with about 15 cruises between us. However, this was our first Princess cruise. All of the others were on Carnival ships (except for one on Costa but that is a different story) and we enjoyed all of them. The main attraction here was the r/t itinerary to Hawaii and the ability to travel there with friends who don't fly. This was also our first voyage on ...

Island Princess April 21, 2006 to Hawaii Sit down, and relax and read this review. Its long, but so was the trip (15 days). Forget about other reviews which talk about too many kids (Christmas cruise), or terrible weather (January). We didnt have either of those. We were traveling while school was in session, so there were very few children. The Cruise Director said we had the best weather of ...

I'll probably make this short. My wife and I chose Princess because we wanted a Hawaiian cruise and RCCL did not have their scheduled when we decided to book it. That being said we really like Princess and would not hesitate in cruising with them again. Embarkation was great. Got there between 11:00 and 11:30 and we were on board and in our cabin by 12:15. Although the luggage didn't arrive ...

Summary: My wife, Audre, and I took the Island Princess to Hawaii, departing March 7, 2006. It was one of the most enjoyable and relaxing vacations we ever took. The ship is beautiful and very clean, the crew friendly and efficient, and the itinerary with many sea days was perfect for us. We enjoyed it so much that we booked the same trip for next January. Beginning & End: We live in Orange ...

Pre Cruise: Flew into Long Beach airport and stayed at the Guesthouse in Long Beach. Rented a car and left the car in downtown Long Beach the car rental called us a taxi to the port. Had a wonderful day sightseeing and shopping for last minute things in Long Beach. Embarkation: Went through the initial line very fast. Then it was hurry up and wait. They started to hand out tickets for entering ...

Overall this was a wonderful cruise, the ship was beautiful (just the right size), the staff was great, and there were enough activities to keep you busy and entertained without being overloaded. If you like sea days and are looking to relax this itinerary is great. Five days to relax on the ship, then five days to run around the islands, then 5 more days to relax before returning to reality. The ...
