Let's see if I can make this short but efficient..... We did go out early and spent one night at the Holiday Inn downtown Long Beach, which was fine for the one night. Took advantage of late check out and toured the Queen Mary, which we highly recommend to any non-Californian.

We booked the 4/21/06 sailing RT Hawaii on the Island Princess a year in advance and had high expectations. I can say, very honestly, these expectations were exceeded in every way. We are experienced cruisers, so keep that in mind.

Sit down, and relax and read this review. Its long, but so was the trip (15 days). Forget about other reviews which talk about too many kids (Christmas cruise), or terrible weather (January). Overall this was a wonderful cruise, the ship was beautiful (just the right size), the staff was great, and there were enough activities to keep you busy and entertained without being overloaded.
