Some good experiences and some not so good
"Dinner would have been a better experience if the manager had refused one of our party's request for a table all together.Only one issue on this night, a large table listening to loud videos IN the dining room...."Read More

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Emerald Princess

We chose a Mexican Riviera cruise for a family event (10 people). Overall, it was pleasant but there were some bumps. We had a Club Class Mini-Suite. The bed was very comfy and the room had plenty of storage. Everything is a bit dated, but it was spotlessly clean. Our room attendant was fantastic. Reserve Collection dining was very nice on embarkation day (we had lunch there right after ...

3 1/2 stars: This is a very very very long review. You might be reading this in a panic thinking, what did I do...I booked the Emerald and everyone is leaving horrific reviews. So I thought I'd write a review that might help people make the most of their vacation if they are already locked in at the 90 day mark. OK. It's not THAT bad. I had a great time knowing some things ahead of time. I ...

Emerald Princess: My 1st Princess Cruise.

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Emerald Princess

I'm writing this review of my (very first non-Carnival!) cruise aboard the Emerald Princess. This was a 5 day cruise with 2 days (an overnight) in Cabo from 5/27/23 to 6/2/23. I will preface this review by confessing that I am a regular cruiser on Carnival; I am not bougie and didn't really have any high expectations for this trip, although I've heard, of course, that Princess is classier and ...

Dashed expectations

On the good side, the staff or crew was very friendly and courteous. Food was good as well as entertainment. On the bad: 1) the wait to board the cruise was ridiculous 2) once in our room, hours later, we found a dirty bathroom and carpeting, beds not put together. We complained. 3) went to wait until the room was cleaned, beds put together, carpet vacuumed and were told the room was ...

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Emerald Princess

We selected this cruise in order to escape some winter in Michigan. The sixteen sea days appealed to us. The schedule was changed in route and we were unable to visit American Samoa which meant we spent more time in Hawaii, Bora Bora and Papeete. Still a restful experience. The response time of the Internet was reasonable but the system was unstable at times causing people to lose their ...

Slight disappointment

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Emerald Princess

We really wanted to see Apia and PagoPago but these were substituted for Hilo and Kona. Had we wanted to see more of Hawaii we would have just booked Hawaii. We were also somewhat disappointed in the food, not what we expect from Princess. The Crown grill was a disappointment, filet was burnt, we didn’t say anything, by the time we saw the waiter, my wife had finished her meal. Share ...

Mold Way too much mold.

Tough to review what you have as a bucket list check off. But, the mold on this ship is out of controll. My eyes burned, my throat burned. I have no doubt this was the real cause of so many being sick on this ship. It was visual and the smell so strong in halls that I had to run through the halls. The consistent overcharging by Princess was a constant visit to the front ...

Getting on the ship was terrible, people were waiting over 2 hours just to get inside the building. They were only letting in 2-3 people at a time. The overall appearance of the ship was good. The food in the upstairs buffet was not very good. The dinning room had 2-3 good nights to choose from and the rest were not so good of choices. It's a good thing they have salmon on the everyday side of the ...
