My first and last time on Princess!!!

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Crown Princess

I choose this cruise because of my 87 year old aunt, someone in her age group told her that they like Princess and that’s the one they use. There were issues from the time we made it to embarkment, it was a disaster the lines were wrapped around and issues with having enough porters to handle the luggage. Once aboard the ship, the steward assigned to our room introduced herself and I explained to ...

The beds are as good as they claim, the SPA however is NOT!

We were so excited to do a two week cruise to Hawaii for our anniversary. We have cruised most of the major lines but never Princess so that added to our excitement. Quick summary - it is an overall decent ship that, for me was completely soured by my poor SPA experience Use of technology - 5/5 Beds - 5/5 Room comfort - 1/5 Focus on disease prevention - 1/5 SPAs - 0/5 ...

A disappointing experience

My wife and I had been on one other cruise prior to this one. It was on the Discovery Princess to Alaska in June, 2022. We enjoyed it very much. So we decided to take the 15-day cruise to Hawaii, from LA, on the Crown Princess in December 2022. There were no health restrictions required and we felt that it would be a safe trip. One of our hard-shell suitcases was cracked when it was delivered ...

Dirtiest Ship Ever Been On

We were in Los Angeles already and wanted to remain out west for Thanksgiving holidays. Having been on 37 cruises, though never Princess, we decided to try this short trip to Cabo. We knew it would have many children and families, and figured we could overlook that. Embarkation was fine, and the ship seemed reasonably attractive and well appointed. Our room, a balcony cabin, had a large ...

Disappointed

The embarkation went very well, but the disembarkation was a little a little rough around the edges. The ship was very well maintained and we had a balcony which had a lot of storage room. I would like to have a hand held shower head like other cruise lines. Dining was nothing special. If I would rate the ship by the food, I would give it a 2. Some of the meals were over cooked. Something is ...

Disappointing and Not for Active Cruisers

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Crown Princess

This was my 22nd cruise and approximately the 8th for my wife. This was my 5th Princess cruise and my wife's third. We are active 30 somethings and we like to do a lot of activities on cruise ships and ashore. We went into this cruise knowing that it wouldn't have the same level of activities as Royal or Carnival, but even with lowered expectations, we were disappointed. We arrived the day ...

Norovirus on the Crown Princess

This was the tale of two cruises. The good days were really good and the bad days were really bad. I have been so excited for this cruise but unfortunately we had a norovirus outbreak and I got it the second day of the cruise. Upon boarding I completely sanitized my cabin with Lysol wipes and spray, but to no avail. I was quarantined in my cabin for two days, which was not necessary as there ...

I have been on many cruise lines including princess and Royal Caribbean, and more recently was on the Royal Princess . This particular cruise on the Crown Princess definitely lacked in terms of quality of food, poor service quality in general. The moment we embarked; we were continually being upsold on spa, and dining options. The spa has a package for thermal beds and steams and ...

Not Normal Princess Standards; Significant Issues on this Ship

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Crown Princess

Princess is my favorite cruise lines. Crown Princess is NOT up to the high standards set by Princess. Nowhere is this more evident than in their 7 night cruise to the Mexican Riveria. Pay special attention to the actual time this ship spends in port. In each of the three ports, the ship spends far less time in port than the other cruise lines doing the same cruise. This ...

Crown Princess Mexican Riviera

We consider ourselves fairly experienced cruisers with sophisticated palates and appreciation for good music. Our experiences with Princess have always been good although an 11-day Panama Canal Crossing on the Coral Princess was amazing. This was a disappointing 7-day trip on several counts. First the ship. Crown Princess has lost its luster. The ship gets heavy use and it shows. The balcony cabin ...
