Worst cruise experience ever!!!

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Paradise

Unfortunately, this was our worst cruise (vacation) experience ever! My daughter chose a 3-day family cruise to Mexico to celebrate her 40th birthday. My husband and I traveled with my daughter, her husband, their 3 children and her father and his wife. Her birthday falls on February 1st, the closest weekend being February 4th, which this year turned out to be Superbowl weekend! We love football, ...

Carnival Paradise 3 night Baja 2/18/2011

I just returned yesterday from a three night cruise to the Baja on Carnival Paradise. First, to put this in perspective, I am certainly not a Carnival fan. I choose my cruises based on itinerary, timing and other factors. Therefore, I have cruised on 7 different cruise lines over the years. I am cruising four times in 2011 on four different cruise lines. This was my fourth ...

My husband and I recently returned from cruising on the Carnival Paradise. I believe this is one of Carnival's older ships, but we were pleasantly surprised to find the ship spotlessly clean and well-maintained; loved the decor, and found the color choices a lot more appealing than other Carnival ships we have seen. Crew members were uniformly friendly and efficient. Our cabin steward and ...

I pretty much agree with everything Bruin Steve had to say about the Carnival Paradise, although we didn't see any of the production shows. I live in near Long Beach and since Carnival has a monopoly on 3-Day Cruises around here, I would have to spend a lot of money to try other, more luxurious cruise lines. At any rate, the other cruise line I was ever on was the Royal Caribbean that used to be ...

Our Weekend in Paradise

We arrived at the port in Long Beach around 12:45pm and it was the perfect time, as there were no lines to get in and we were directed to an open window to check in right away. The employees in the check in area were friendly and helpful and our check in took about 5 minutes at the most. We had photos taken before we got on board and walked onto the Paradise with no line ahead of us. We went to ...

We found this cruise to be excellent! What it is: -Fun! If you were bored... it was your fault! There was plenty to do! -EXCELLENT service from the Carnival Paradise staff (from the embarkation staff to the ship) -GOOD food (this isn't a five star restaurant, but the food is good) -CLEAN rooms and ship. People were always cleaning around the ship! -Catalina is excellent! ...

Hi All! After reading some reviews on this site I decided to join and post a review on our experience in hopes that it will help provide even more light on the subject. We decided that instead of the regular gifts under the tree we would take a vacation that was completely different from anything we had done before. We looked at cruises and were delighted at the apparent value that was ...

There were 12 of us (6 couples) that set off on a cruise out of LA on 1/28/11 looking for some rest and relaxation. We boarded the Carnival Paradise about 1pm, headed for the buffet for lunch, and were able to check into our cabins shortly thereafter. Everything about the cruise went well - we enjoyed the food, entertainment, activities and amenities the ship has to offer. The Paradise is an older ...

Not the Best But Worth the Money

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Paradise

This was my fourth cruise, second with Carnival. Overall I had a good time. I felt the cruise was very reasonably priced. Let's start with my only serious complaint, which is the embarkation process. By far and away this was the worst embarkation I have experienced in the four times I've cruised. On my previous three cruises I've averaged about 50 to 60 minutes from getting the luggage out ...

We went on the 4 night Carnival Paradise out of Long Beach, CA R/T on Monday November 29, 2010. Onboard were my daughter, age 4 1/2 and I, age 45, in a regular outside cabin E140. We boarded fine since we are both platinum and went up to the Lido buffet since the cabins were not yet ready. We had fresh hot pizza and ice cream. Then we went down to our cabin. Water pressure in ...
