Worst vacation in 4 years

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Paradise

This was my 3rd cruise and by far the worst. I'd go as far to say that it was one of the worst vacations I've ever been on. First off, the cruise ship is severely out-dated. Second of all, the food was terrible. You can order as much as you'd like, but one serving is plenty. You won't want to go back for more. By day 3, I had sharp stomach pains that lasted for over 12 hours. The ship is much ...

Took a recent cruise we took on Carnival Paradise. We have been with carnival twice before, and on several other cruise lines. This time I took my entire family and they were so excited about the experience since we had talked it up. However, within an hour of being on the ship my brother asked me why the employees were treating us as if we were prisoners being transported. I did not have an ...

The Perfect Weekend Getaway!

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Paradise

Our travel party consisted of my husband, and another couple, our good friends. We left our kids at home for a "weekend getaway". I had heard the "booze cruise" is a party ship, and that is right! It is! I would NOT bring my kids on this 3 day weekend cruise, though lot's of people did. It was a really fun crowd. Lot's of young people (as opposed to my previous cruising experiences) and a very fun ...

I just returned yesterday but felt a need to get up and write my review immediately!! We returned yesterday from a 4night, 5day cruise on Paradise(July 4-8), stopping in Catalina and Ensenada. We traveled with our two girls, ages 12 and 9, their aunt and uncle, and friends with two girls, ages 15 and 11. I highly suggest arriving early to take advantage of the pre-boarding. It was super easy ...

This was my second cruise and my husbands first cruise. My husband was expecting really good food. He thought the food at dinner was just so so. What made it better was our server German. He was great. We ate at the Elation dinning room for most of our meals. The soups are good. The meat was tough in some cases. Desserts were so so. The dessert they served at Tea Time were actually much ...

All about the cruising! A great stress-free way to celebrate

For our one-year anniversary, my husband and I decided to take a cruise because we both love boat rides and were looking for an all-inclusive, stress-free trip. This was my second cruise (my first being over a decade ago) and this was his first, so needless to say, we are not very experienced cruisers. We embarked at Long Beach, CA for the 4-night Catalina/Ensenada, Mexico cruise on the Carnival ...

Our family has taken numerous cruises on almost every cruise line over the past 12 years. After my father past away last August, my 81 year old mother still was hoping to enjoy cruising. Since my dad had been sick, she had not been cruising for 3 1/2 years, so my sister, mom and I decided to try a short, easy cruise to see how she would do. We live driving distance from Los Angeles and have been ...

I did not check reviews prior to booking this short cruise for my family (4 kids (9/8/8/2) and wife). Although my wife and I have cruised before we had children, we wanted to try one with the kids and thought a short cruise would be a good trial. I see now from other reviews, I got the exact experience I should have expected. Getting on the ship was smooth and easy. The cabins were typical and ...

Embarkation, well organized. It took about 1 hour from drop off to boarding. Stateroom: Outside with window. Inadequate sitting area. One chair, not upholstered or stool under desk/vanity. No settee. Shower larger than most. Water didnt adjust well, either cold or hot, scalding. Blow dryers are no longer in the rooms. On the last night I give up and call the front desk and they brought me one. Room ...

We are in our early 50's and have cruised from three days to sixteen days from an inside to a Balcony Suite, so a Porthole cabin was a new experience for us.Drove to Port from Reno area taking a few days to visit with folks. Hotel reviews will post to the Trip Advisor Site.Down and Dirty - Ship is in very good shape. Cabins are a bit rough around the edges. I would reface the cabinetry on the ...
