Lovely cruise but ship needs work

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Sapphire Princess

We chose this cruise for our honeymoon to Hawaii from LA. The crew were absolutely wonderful and couldn't have done enough for us. The entertainment was very good but I felt there were too much reliance on singers rather than varied performances and everything shut down at 11pm. We mostly did the trivia and game shows which were excellent. The medallion was a fantastic addition! Embarkation and ...

Some good news and some bad news.....

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Grand Princess

We chose this repositioning cruise because we needed to catch up with friends in Australia that decided to fly and the dates matched. It's an old ship, renovated about 10 years ago, and considering that it's in great shape. The service attitude of the staff is impressive, the food is hovering between good and great, with the buffet having essentially been sacrificed on the altar of Covid. ...

Not one of Princess Cruises' better ships

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Ruby Princess

Chose this ship due to the South Pacific itinerary and based on a previous cruise with Princess (Regal Princess). In comparing the two ships, I was disappointed In the Ruby Princess. The entertainment was definitely not the same caliber as with the Regal in terms of variety or quality. The Horizon buffet court had much less selection and was poorly staffed. Often multiple serving sections were ...

After ten previous Princess cruises on several ships, I've about decided I need to take a break and try another line for a while. The allure of Princess has faded some, though it's hard to switch after becoming an "elite" customer. Food options are much reduced; menus are stale and repetitive; prices continue to escalate for "smaller" items; and the quality of the entertainment is not what it ...

Not As Good As I Expected

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Queen Victoria

We sailed on a segment of the Queen Victoria's world cruise from Los Angeles to Sydney. In many small ways this was a disappointing experience. For example: This was the only cruise where we were not welcomed on board with a glass of Champaign or given a bag to use for purchases. Although the food was good, it was difficult to find out about alternative items on the menu and ordering them ...

This cruise was a great mix of English, Australians an a few Kiwis. It was the friendliest cruise I have ever been on. Not necessarily with the crew though. The shows in the theatre were brilliant and the best I have ever seen oh any cruise, I couldn't believe how lucky we were to have Pam Ayres one night. We also had the Tenor boys and a variety of other very professional shows. We actually went ...
