Repositioning Cruise

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Crown Princess

We chose this cruise because we live in Southern CA and it was less travel to be on a cruise. We haven't gone for a number of years, for obvious reasons, and looked forward to the days at sea, port activities, and the destinations. The first afternoon on the ship, we went to the "app" to get dinner reservations for that night and found out that we did NOT have dinner (table or time) for the entire ...

It was kind of stressful being on this cruise from LA to Vancouver, right from the start till the end. Embarkation: It started with embarkation, long lines, no directions for people arriving by public transport and worst for Platinum NCL customers: no skip the lines possible. Food/restaurants: The speciality restaurants were the only places where we could find a quiet atmosphere to ...

The Island Princess has eliminated public areas and added more cabins!

We choose this ship because we love it’s sister ship, the Coral. This is NOT the same ship as the Coral. The huge two story Universal Lounge was removed, lots of cabins were added instead. The fitness room was moved from its larger upper deck view of the sea location to a smaller inside the ship lower down deck. It was a joke and people actually paid to use fitness studios in port to workout. The ...

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Ruby Princess

We had a wonderful cruise because Alaska is gorgeous, however the Ruby was the worst ship I've sailed on. Not only does the ship appear old and tired, so does much of the crew. Our steward didn't address us by name, so if that's your thing, good luck. Personally, it doesn't matter to me. I'm more concerned about having service, like ice in the cabin, without having to beg a few times. It took ...

PRINCESS? NEVER AGAIN

Review for a Asia Cruise on Coral Princess

I live in NYC and have sailed many times on NCL. Two years ago I did a three-month voyage aboard the Holland America Rotterdam. I've also sailed twice with Oceania. I was attracted to this trip by its itinerary, which would include Alaska and many Asian ports. It was my first Princess cruise and I booked a mini-suite. I was stunned by the mediocrity. As many others have already noted, we missed ...

Worst ever Princess Cruise

Review for a Asia Cruise on Coral Princess

The itinerary sounded so good. Alaska, Asia and South Pacific. Unfortunately we missed the first port in Japan due to weather. A second port was missed because of lack of fuel in the second biggest port in Japan - Yokohama. What an excuse! The ship left the pier as scheduled only to drop anchor 45 min. later where we remained overnight ( no commend or explanation from the bridge ) only to return ...

Big Disappointment

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Coral Princess

We have been on 61 cruises, of which almost half have been on Princess. This was the worst of the Princess cruises we've been on. Severely cut back on crew, food service, little things and everything. Bare bones. Horrible food in dining room with slow service. Apparent morale problem with 90% of crew. Other cruise ships like their officers walking about and connecting with passengers; we seldom ...

This was our 30th cruise on Princess and the worst we’ve been on.☹️ The itinerary was 60 days round trip from LA to Asia. The ship itself was poor. On the embarkation day there were fewer than 50 books in the library! Not acceptable! The entertainment director told me it was because people hadn’t returned the books. That is not true. There were none to begin with. The food was relatively ...

Worst food selection and stateroom bathroom in 30 years of cruising!

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Emerald Princess

Had not cruised on Princess in several years and decided to give them another try. This was by far the worst cruise in terms of both gourmet food selection and the size of the cabin bathroom that I have ever experienced, in over thirty years of cruising on six different cruise lines. They seem to crunch 3000 passengers into tiny cabins and group rooms designed for 2000. Always a feeling of being ...

A Characteristically Bad Princess Experience

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Emerald Princess

From start to finish this cruise was a huge disappointment. We had sallied on the Emerald Princess before and love the ship. It is clear that Princess (parent Carnival Cruise Lines) have made an all out push to cut cost at the expense of service and quality. In my opinion they are ruining the “brand.” Princess is a shell of what it once was, and is no longer a cruise line I will sail on. As of ...
