Not what we expected for the price we paid.

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Arvia

We are seasoned cruisers having sailed with TUI, Princess, Celebrity and with P&O multiple times and recognise that things can go wrong at times, but through experience, it seems that P&O come up short more than other cruise lines. We booked on Arvia for two weeks sailing from Southampton on April 30th around the Spanish coast into the Med then over to Italy and France and back to Spain before ...

MSC management is the worst

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on MSC Virtuosa

I wanted to segue to a second cruise after my trans-atlantic on Regal Princess ended on 30 April in Southampton. This cruise was leaving same day from there. The price was excellent for a single studio and included beverages and internet. The 12 night itinerary included calls in Portugal, Spain, Madeira and Canary Islands. Due to physical limitations I would be happy staying on board. The ...

We cruised on this ship for 12 nights to Portugal and the canaries. Embarkation was very quick from the car to getting on board within 20 mins….. great! We have cruised many times which lots of lines mainly RCI, Celebrity and P&O but we wanted to avoid the airport and wanted to sail to warmer climbs which is why we chose this itinerary so thought we would give MSC a go. Three of us ...

Plus points: Despite size, very clean in all areas Particularly pleased with the balcony cabin and storage space. Night light very helpful and useful. Bathroom small but functional with good shower Hands-free public lavatory doors - brilliant! Very friendly and helpful crew The Captain and Officers were very pleasant and reassuring, we particularly enjoyed Captain's daily ...

Over sold as modern quality

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Arvia

We booked this holiday as a family holiday via a travel agent who stated that this is a new ship in P&O's Fleet with quality restaurants, entertainment & experiences. They were not wrong about the experiences. We have been on other cruise ships including Brittania, Tui, and Royal Caribbean. First the ship is well laid out and modern with a lot of quality features such as mini golf, sky walk and ...

Ship too big and P and O standards have slipped

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Arvia

We chose this cruise as the dates and itinerary fitted our circumstances, however we would not choose a ship this big again unless the itinerary was fantastic. We only booked at 2 weeks notice and were very disappointed to find that most of the popular shore excursions were already sold out, and that those available cannot be bought with onboard spend allowance prior to boarding, a conversation ...

The ship that likes to say no

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Arvia

The ship itself is very pleasant, airy and nicely decorated. The suite we had was nicely appointed and the service was broadly attentive. The problem with Arvia is that it's the ship that likes to say no. Want to go to a show? No. Full. Quiz in the pub? No seats. Want to go to a restaurant? Sorry, should have booked last week. Kid's club? Forget it, slots in this Easter cruise went in a matter ...

Not great

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Sky Princess

This was my 24th princess cruise and this ship has a lot of issues. We did the premium package so included two speciality restaurants and premium drinks. The issue here is the staff on princess are lovely but they have no training on drinks or the premium pack - they wouldn’t know premium if it came up a bit them on the behind which was unfortunate. Before princess can execute a premier experience ...

OK, but would not recommend.

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Iona

Overall we had a perfectly ok holiday on Iona, but there were a number of key areas that left us disappointed. We would struggle to recommend to others. The ship itself is nice. It's public spaces are all tasteful and contemporary, possibly a little on the bland side once the Christmas decorations came down, but overall create a nice atmosphere. The fully wrap around promenade deck is a great ...

Disappointed

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Queen Victoria

Cunard really need to get it’s act together, the ship is failing in so many areas. Constantly changing the excursion itinerary, length of stay at ports, even the various destinations of the cruise is both annoying and frustrating. Information provided via the pamphlets left in cabin bare no relationship to the information on their onboard website. Confuse the two at your peril - cancellation ...
