Read reviews was very skeptical ! It’s not the poor hard working crew , or the magnificent ship , it’s the poor company policy mindset and greedy money grabbing management encouraging overcrowding and greedy sales …….we chose the premium dinks package and free wi fi , large family suite deck 10 . 96 + cruises over 15 years we know our cruises , wanted to give it a Try ! We are young at heart ...

Too many passengers and too few staff to make this a safe and enjoyable experience

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Arvia

The cruise was sold as a Europe Cruise but in fact we only visited Spain. The main issue must be with the P&O can simply not cope with the number of passengers on board. The reservation system introduced for many of the facilitates and amenities is call “virtual queuing” and simply means that P&O tell you when you can come and join an actual queue. The restaurants do in fact have adequate ...

Please see my Disgusting experience on the Arvia as just some of the bad examples how to make a disasterous cruise P&O should get rid of this ship as it is a disgrace to P&O name P&O Should change the name from Arvia to Butlins at Sea as it is a more suitable name for this cruise ship My Wife & I have been on lots of cruises mostly P&O and Princess we are Carnival Shareholders the main ...

If you dont have a smart phone dont go. You have to prebook everything meals entertainment etc. You queue for everything especially reception I tried phoning this took over 20mins. The food is served warm never hot and is poor quality tough meat etc.. This company is about max profits for min outlay. Not enough crew you queue for everything. Its like a floating Butlins. I would not use P&O again ...

Too many passengers for the facilities. Obviously money over quality. Food was good when you could get in a restaurant, buffet was like a kids primary school. Teenagers walking through the ship including the buffet in just trunks and sunglasses. Staff hard to find when you want a drink (although the staff worked like trojans they were understaffed) Every meal accompanied by screaming kids, ...

I'll start with the positives, because there aren't many: + The cabin was nice (though it should be for the price) + The shower worked well + Good for teenagers - plenty of activities for them, kid's pool is open til 10pm and they'll love all the frozen pizza (which is all you'll be able to get after 8.30pm). On to the negatives: - Food. This was absolutely my biggest issue. The ...

Unethical company, profits above customer satisfaction and safety

This date fitted with our diary and it was only after I booked I saw the bad reviews and noticed it was half term. However, I thought it wouldn't be too bad as the cruise was for two weeks and half term was only one week. How wrong was every mature couple on the ship, we had 1000 of them for the whole two weeks! The noise level was unbelievable; certain areas of the ship were 'no go areas' for ...

We have been on several cruises with P&O on ships Azura, Britannia, Arcadia & Aurora and this was our first cruise on the Ventura. I will start with the nice things first The food and staff in the Epicurian, Beach House and Glasshouse was excellent but you paid extra for this service. Reception, the Butler and Cabin steward also did an excellent job. But this was our worst ever cruise it ...

Worst cruise ever

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Arvia

There was insufficient time in ports of call, and no overnight stays anywhere, so we could explore ashore further and not be rushed into returning to the ship for the sail time. We had to pay for buses from ship into the ports, and there were always long queues. The charges were exorbitant in our opinion for such short journeys. We cancelled a trip due to my disability, and were charged 10% ...

after several Iona cruises thought Arvia would be great. wrong. too many passengers, or not enough staff. entertainment had a couple of old favourites, with old acts, but generally poor. food worse than normal P&O. the MyHoliday app may suit P&O, but not guests. all the best restaurants and entertainment was fully booked by those who could make the app work prior to the cruise. the ...
