There is a definite decline of RCCL cruises out of Southampton. Without sounding a snob these cruises appear to becoming holiday centres like Butlins and Pontins on board a large cruise ship. We experienced smoking, very bad language and at times drunkenness in the casino and some bars. We chose Cunard - curious to sample the luxury service they claim to offer.
The ship was indeed beautiful, clean and elegant. I was delighted with the stateroom - although anyone over a size 14 will have trouble fitting into their shower cubicle (and this applies to the higher costing staterooms as well)

Chose the cruise because this was hyped as the P&O flagship, biggest and best.
Embarkation was fantastic, car to cabin in about 10- 15 minutes, cannot fault it.
Our balcony cabin was small, no sofa, bumping into each other all the time.
