I chose SS after great experiences and to try the Silver Moon for the first time. The experience was great, considering the cost, itinerary, and wine selections. A superior offering to other luxury lines such as SB and RSS. The trip excursions were quite good, with several of them in more isolated/exclusive destinations.
In general, the food was excellent in most restaurants, particularly La ...
This one week cruise, from 18-25 June, was our first since the autumn of 2019, when we were also on Queen Victoria.
Itinerary
This included four ports- La Coruña, Gijón, Bilbao and Cherbourg - and 2 sea days. The itinerary is being repeated later in the summer. The ports were all new to us - we didn’t do any tours, just stayed and explored locally. These were all pleasant places to spend ...
We had been on this ship twice before - once during Covid19 as ships were starting to sail again and that was an amazing cruise actually despite all of that.
Then a year later to Spain and France and now this one to the Fjords. The last two times we got the Key package.
Embarking and disembarking were super quick and it wouldn’t have mattered had we got the key or not. It looks like it’s ...
good and not so good about anthem of the seas
Not so good-
The ship is really not that well designed. When I say that there are highlights and lowlights.
Highlights are the usual large theater with balcony as seen on other RCCL ships. Also the Two70 lounge is a nice space that is comfortable and techy. See other comments below about sportsplex and pools. Also the casino is below ...
We’ve done 4 Princess cruises in the past year with very good results, but this was an odd exception. We chose the cruise because of its attractive British Isles itinerary, and the itinerary was indeed very good. But unlike other Princess cruises, the food in the main dining rooms were of poor quality with very limited selection. The service was slow and sloppy, and the maitre d’s seldom smiled or ...
This review is for the 33 day cruise, not just the part the CC system would recognize. I chose this cruise because it went to a much desired destination: Longyearbyen (Svalbard), an island north of the Arctic Circle belonging to Norway. I booked in February when I saw I could book a 33 day cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale to Southhampton to Norway and back to Southhampton. Not long after final ...
Swimming in the aft pool on Deck 8, it was difficult to believe that we had reached the Arctic Circle with an air temperature of 27c and the water a pleasantly warm 24. For the entire cruise, the weather remained the same - how I regretted wasting space with gloves and base layers!
This 12-day cruise offers plenty of opportunities to discover Norway and my overriding memory will be of the ...
We did this cruise in May 2022, and we enjoyed it hugely so much so we booked again for 2023. One aspect we prefer was the one sea day before the first port of call, Santander. We are not fans of three sea days in a row. Our overriding feeling of this cruise is how standards have fallen on P&O's Ventura. I would class Ventura as a mid-sized vessel taking around 3,500 guests. The one ...
There are already some reviews of the voyage from June 9th to June 23rd - so I thought I have to throw in my two cents...! This voyage marked my 10th voyage on QM2- so kind of a little Jubilee. Two voyages with QV and QE throwen in.
I rebooked to this voyage after I had to cancel my planed Transatlantic in April for some family issues- turned out that both legs of said TA- Crossing where ...
We are relative newcomers to Cunard, prior to this having been on one very brief (4 day) trip on QM2 and one 14-day sailing on QE2 in the last year.
For context, we have cruised many times previously, our favourite lines being Crystal and Regent.
Our cruise was Southampton-Southampton, which we absolutely loved. What a joy to be able to drive to the port, leave the car and walk into the ...
