"Birthday treat for my grandsons aged 10 & 3
The corridor’s on the ship are wide and spacious, not like other cruise ship where they are narrow difficult for pushchairs/wheelchairs
Amazing ship with plenty to do for the older children but be prepared to queue
Plenty of swimming pools life guards are amazing
Food was good plenty of choice, beware Johnny R u have to pay
We only used the buffet restaurant as with children it’s nice for them to see the food and choose what they would like, the restaurant was very quiet around 8 so plenty of seats, breakfast time avoid as long queues
Drinks plenty of choice from water sodas spirit cocktails etc
Entertainment was good although packed so seats always full no room for pushchairs
Boarding a nightmare if your taking your grandchildren so TRAUMATISED
Make sure your room is throughly cleaned especially if you have children BAD EXPERIENCE FOR MY GRANDSON..."Read More

1-10 of 72 Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas Cruise Reviews for Gay & Lesbian to Seine River from Southampton
Cleaning of rooms only once a day.
You can choose either in the morning or in the evening.
Very poor desserts, both in the buffet and in the restaurant on the 3rd floor.
We tried breakfast at the restaurant on the 4th floor. We won't do it anymore.
There was a very small selection of food.
Price of drinks includes service charge.
The quality of the food, not like in the past. At ...
I chose a 7 night cruise to France and Spain for myself, husband and our 17 year old teenager departing Southampton as we live in London and could drive to the port in about 2 hours. We parked our car at the port and it was a short walk to the ship. Our luggage was collected from us in the car park and delivered to our staterooms later that evening. The cruise had a packed schedule of ...
I'll start with the positives, because there aren't many:
+ The cabin was nice (though it should be for the price)
+ The shower worked well
+ Good for teenagers - plenty of activities for them, kid's pool is open til 10pm and they'll love all the frozen pizza (which is all you'll be able to get after 8.30pm).
On to the negatives:
- Food. This was absolutely my biggest issue. The ...
We chose this cruise as it was in the UK half term (hence the title of the review). We travelled expecting to have to queue, not to get to do all the things we wanted to and for their to be a LOT of families with kids on board. This trip was done on a tight budget as we/the kids have lots of other travel this year - we didn't take drink or wifi packages or book ship tours, making the most of the ...
I am a regular cruiser (Diamond RCL, Platinum Cunard, Elite Celebrity) but this was my first 2 night/3 day cruise, and first time on Anthem of the Seas. This had much more of a "booze cruise" atmosphere and demographic than a longer cruise. There were lots of hen parties, birthday celebrations and children. I had a single balcony stateroom on deck 6 which was perfectly adequate for the two nights ...

Travelling with two older teenagers activities were a priority for us. AotS did not disappoint - bumper cars, rock climbing wall, iFly, roller skating, North Star (observation cabin) and Flow rider - these made the cruise a success.
Food was Ok but not great - we paid for the dining package - and just about broke even, dining six out of the seven days in specialty restaurants. Of the ...
This was not my first RCI cruise and it will definitely not be my last. I'm a cynic and a critic - but Anthem won me over. One of the best overall cruise experiences in more than 40 years.
Yes, the ship is big - 4,000 passengers might seem daunting. But despite the ship's vast interiors, it was intuitively designed, user-friendly, and had the best wayfinding of any ship - bar none.
The ...
My wife and I chose this cruise purely because of timing. My wife works a lot in the USA and this week fitted in with her trip home in between various other family events. We would not have actually chosen this itinerary, but that wasn't really a big point of the cruise, we just wanted to get away and (mainly for her...) relax. We have also cruised with RCCI a number of times and have always ...
Just got off from Anthem yesterday and already miss it!
Our last cruise was 3 years ago at Independence with extended family and we only booked this cruise 2 months ago wondering if it will be the same but it turned out to be absolute success. This time it was for family of 4 including myself husband and 7,11 years old children.
At terminal we were told it is about four thousand something ...
