1-10 of 120 Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas Cruise Reviews for Gay & Lesbian to the Mediterranean from Southampton
We excitingly embarked on this two week sailing for what we hoped would be a nice way to relax and unwind - how very wrong we were. When we first arrived we had high hopes as we had cruised on the Anthem twice before and had a great experience. The main issue was the many teenagers running up and down the hallways and banging on doors and walls, being rude and intimidating to other guests and crew ...
4th cruise with RC and always been a fan before. First off the entertainment wasn't bad but very repetitive. The band playing in the Music Hall (the Dukes) played virtually every night and Phillippa the guitarist/vocalist played every night in the english pub. Previously you would have had more variety but less music (sometimes nice to have it quiet!). Shows were badly planned with regards to main ...
We are diamond plus cruisers with RCCL. However, this cruise was a wake-up call after the Covid shut down RCCL have cut everything to the bone. The first night 2 untrained waiters served cold main course steak with fries, had a replacement Steak and fries but could not cut the Steak with the provided steak knife so this once again got returned, This happened 5 times on various occasions to me ...
Words cannot describe how excited I was to sail on this wonderful ship, I spend a day aboard back in May and just had to sail on her before she repositioned across the pond.
Check in (sadly) was a nightmare, there were 4 of us in 2 cabins, we checked in online prior to departure but didn't have set sail passes, maybe it would have been a lot easier should we all of had them, however, all I kept ...
I love this ship. Whilst others don't like the big ships, we found Anthem to be great if you wanted to find a seat! As the decks are all huge, there are lots of little places to sit, most bars are very spacious. I remarked to my wife, where do they hide all the people?
On the way back through the Bay of Biscay (or Biscuits as most people call it), we hit a storm. Because the ship is so big, we ...
Having been on the independence of the sea twice, we were looking forward to this new ship (booked before the ship was finished) what a disappointment, no atmosphere, dining the worse we've ever experienced, very repetitive menu, with the exception of a few members of staff, they seemed as fed up as many of our fellow passengers that we spoke to were.
The North Star was very good, as was Two70, ...
Advice: don't elect to board first thing. You will be held in a holding area until called. Wait until around 12:30-13:00 then you will have a quick boarding.
We stayed in the Chilworth Manor the night before and were taken to the Port by taxi. Left our car at the hotel. Long wait for taxi back to hotel on disembarking.
Ship is huge and quite impressive. Favourite place Schooner Bar but ...
So so disappointed with this cruise. The ship did not have the WOW factor we were expecting, Independence Is far more impressive!
Our cabin was on deck 13, on first inspection it was fantastic but we soon found out that we had noise starting at 2:45 am every morning from the kitchens above. After 8 days of complaining and lack of sleep we were given another cabin.
DO NOT BOOK A CABIN ON ...
Won't sail her again. As ships go, they have substituted a lot of public deck area (views, comfort of strolling) for added features not too many people even used. The design is poor, as you can't even walk around the front of ship (unlike Indy) without feeling like you're in a wind tunnel! Robot bar thing is gimmicky and useless. Promenade space is cramped with considering the size of ship. ...
The poor reviews really worried us in advance, but we should have totally ignored them!! We had a fabulous family holiday! What's not to love about this amazing ship, launched in April at a cost of 1.6 billion? Embarkation was super efficient with scores of friendly staff waiting to greet us warmly, armed with Ipads, luggage was taken immediately and arrived safely and quickly in our ...
