We have cruised many times before - but this was a step up for us in terms of quality ( and price ) but the all inclusive fare was brilliant . Compared to other cruise experiences I think what you are paying for is space - both in the suite which was a really good size ( and the first time we had more storage than we needed for clothes ) , but also in the public areas where we never had to wait ...
We have sailed Carnival (1st cruise) Celebrity, Disney when our kids were young, moved up and settled on Crystal. Sadly when Crystal folded, we had to find another "luxury line". This was our first cruise in 3 years, and we had been looking forward to trying Regent as we had heard wonderful things. We actually started this cruise on June 16th in Bilbao, and picked this cruise to see Ireland and ...
We have sailed in voyager three times. We have enjoyed every voyage very much. For us everything was perfect! We had a suite and a butler who was the epitome of efficiency. Our suite was Immaculate every day. A ceiling light bulb went out and it was changed almost before we hung up the phone to report it to our butler. Our canapés were simple but we hardly needed them. We enjoyed every ...
This was only our third cruise and our first with Regent. We picked it because it offered 3 days in St. Petersburg and the Business Class Airfare add-on was VERY reasonable.
Although there were a few signs of The Voyager aging ( worn carpeting and frayed curtains) overall we were quite pleased with the ship and look forward to seeing it after the Refurbishing later this year.
For some ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and the price. We were able to get a very low Interline rate and would never have paid the full brochure price. For what we paid we got everything that a "real" passenger would get except for the round-trip Business Class Air, a night in a hotel and transfers. We did get tips, beverages, specialty dining and shore excursions.
We have cruised on ...
This is our 5th Regent cruise, first since take over by NCL, one of the mass marketing cruiseline trying to break into luxsury market and we were curious to experience the changes. We noticed the change in staffing level which caused late delivaries of meal service, lack of service in buffet area. Example, there were always plenty of staff to assist with plates full of food to your seat, never had ...
Had never been on Regent before wanted to try it for the first time. We Cruise a lot on Silver seas , yachts of seaborn and Oceania. Typically I prefer a smaller ship of under 1000 psgrs or close to 600 to 400 passengers. There were many areas of concern and disappointment for us while we were on this cruise for over three weeks.
In summary we had issues with the main dining room ...
This was our 1st Regent Seven Seas cruise and we loved it. We are pre-retirement ages and were a little nervous about some of the reviews we had read regarding the Voyager. There had been many complaints about the age of the ship however we found it to be charming . Our suite was clean and comfortable, all of the staff were friendly and attentive and the itinerary was wonderful.
We did ...
We have been on all of Regent's ships and had wanted to do this itinerary in the past, but dates and pricing never lined up. We were very pleased to be able to do back-to-back 10 day cruises through the British Isles and over to France and Spain.
The ship is very comfortable, but the staff is the best reason to sail with Regent. Every member of the crew is just as hospitable and friendly as ...
This is our 7th cruise on Regent, the first being in 2009. Several recent reviews have noted that they felt that the Regent experience is declining. With a few relatively minor exceptions, which I will detail below, my wife and I do not feel that this is the case. We have greatly enjoyed every one of our Regent cruises, this one being one of the better ones.
