We were picked up at Heathrow by Barry of Taranis Travel--bookings@taranistravelco.uk. He was very efficient and transported us to Southampton via Stonehenge, Salisbury, Avebury, Amesbury. His price was great and we could stay as long as we wished in each place. He also transported us to Bath another day. There is an audio guide to the Baths. Will take you around 2 hours and it could be more if ...

I am not writing a long review because the Ruby is not sailing this itinerary again. So I am not going to go over the ports. 1. Staff=Tremendous. Every staff member was upbeat and smiling. Nothing was too hard for them to do. They carried trays, got extra blankets, got seconds of food at dinner...and the list goes forever. 2. Ship=Great shape. Once you got the layout the ship was easy to ...

First time with Princess and first time around the British isles. We would like to do both again. This was our eleventh cruise and, all round, probably the best. There were things to gripe about (the food was much of a muchness, the shows were pitiful and we avoided them, the cruise director was.......) but we do not go on holiday for shows compered by someone whose love of his own voice was quite ...

Positives and Negatives about Ruby Princess at the British Isles

Our family of four chose this cruise due to it's itinerary (which selected fantastic ports to cover the British Isles) and of course with princess being loyal princess cruisers. This was our 8th princess cruise and 14th overall. Expectations were high being it was one of the newer ships we'd been on. Positives The staff are brilliant! They are all professional, friendly and go out of their way ...

We were looking for a deal in the UK school holidays and sure did we find one. We found the cruise on sale at £599 which at £50 pppn summer holidays was unbeatable. We were not sure about the ports being so close to home, but felt assured that we would enjoy the ship and its facilities non the less. We have been on P&O Ventura twice, and my parents who also traveled with us have sailed with ...

We just completed this cruise with our 14-yr old son. Overall we had a wonderful vacation. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: Loved the cabin--we had an aft balcony stateroom and loved watching as we arrived at and left ports every day. Also loved that this was a very port-intensive cruise. A great way to see a lot of different cities/areas. Services on the ship were excellent; staff were ...

This was my 12th cruise, the majority of them with Princess. But this is my first review. The ship: There are two large identical dining rooms, one for set seating and one for anytime dining. We were anytime, and actually ended up eating in both. We showed up whenever we were hungry for dinner and were usually seated right away. We never waited more than ten minutes for a table. Having the ...

Well I have been home now for a week having spent 12 nights on the Ruby Princess & can honestly say that it is one of the best cruises I have been one. I have been on about 14 cruises including Cunard, P & 0, Costa & others but I have to say al in all this was the best. We always choose an inside cabin as it means we can take more cruises. It was better than ,ost with a walk in type wardrobe ...

Selected this itinerary based on the ports. Loved the Ruby – she is huge and it did take a while to take the right elevator to the right floor, but we enjoyed the cruise and all ports except Honfleur. Another deciding factor on this particular ship and cruise was that laundry facilities are available on each deck so we could travel lighter than usual. We were in Europe prior to the cruise so we ...
