Undercooked meatballs from the Lido. This is unsafe, and the senior staff didn't bother to remove the tray from the buffet.

downhill continues

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Regal Princess

We selected this cruise as we wanted to see London. Good price and high obc. Princess continues to go downhill. Main dining room is bland. Desserts are repetitive. Buffet sausages taste like cardboard. Liquid eggs are used. The head waiter said he’d get me omelet made with fresh eggs. Shouldn’t have be like that . Pastries are frozen, some hadn’t been thawed out. The other head waiter told me it ...

Super ship, great staff, post-Covid food a bit disappointing

Overall, we had a fabulous cruise for 16 days from Southampton to Fort Lauderdale with excellent stops in France, Spain and Portugal. As my cabin mate has a cane and is Elite, we were put in a faster queue for boarding, which went extremely well. The Regal Princess is a stunning ship! I especially enjoyed midship on Decks 15 and 16 where you can see the front and rear of the ship from one ...

Mediocre Cruise but Memorable Ports

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Regal Princess

This was probably our once in a lifetime United Kingdom cruise -- 7 ports in 10 days -- England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. From the British Museum in London to war museums and, oh so many, castles, the overall trip ticked many boxes. Because this trip was port heavy, time and experience on the ship were more limited than usual. But, this was our 3rd trip on the Regal ...

10-Day British Isles on the Regal Princess

Fresh off a 10-day British Isles on the Regal Princess from 9/29-10/9. Overall, had a wonderful trip with 4 people in our party. Emerald deck Deluxe Balcony Obstructed view. No issues with the view, only the top of the lifeboats which were flat and you could see perfectly above them. The balcony actually felt heated because of being on deck 8. Embarkation was literally like 15 minutes but we ...

Lovely ship and great crew

We chose this itinerary as we wanted to do London (5 days prior) and the British isles. We had a standard balcony. It worked for us but I think I prefer the deluxe balcony with a bit more room. Our room steward, Romy, was excellent. The September weather, although pleasantly cool, didn’t lend itself to sitting out on a balcony nor sunbathing. No big deal. We enjoyed the ports especially Cork, ...

We cruised on this same ship - Regal about 4 yrs ago on the Baltic Cruise. The quality of the food and service since then has improved. The dining room dinners were very good - better than 4 yrs ago. The service seemed better too. Our attendants were on the ball. The first cruise on Regal we had mini suite and this time we had mini suite one level higher and one room further forward. The cabin ...

My wife & I are from Ottawa, Canada and are Platinum members when cruising with Princess. As the itinerary is important to us, we are not exclusive to Princess and have sailed with other cruise lines including Norwegian, Costa, MSC and Holland America. I should also add that, although, I did not initiate the Roll Call for this particular cruise, I provided the spreadsheets to keep track of Cruise ...

Disappointing Experience on a beautiful ship!

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Regal Princess

We chose the cruise because of the itinerary and convenience of UK departure point. Had assumed service would be similar to P&O and Royal Caribbean but sadly it was not. The ship was cold and lacked atmosphere, restaurant service varied from poor to average and whilst the food was good with reasonable portions, the dining experience lacked class. No control over so called Smart Casual, often ...

We were looking for a way to see as much of the British Isles as possible and this itinerary delivered. This was our second time on Princess, (Majestic in Alaska being the other). Otherwise we have done Disney cruises. We thought service was on par with Disney and our prior experience with Princess. We were a little nervous based on recent reviews of the Regal indicating it was short ...

Twice on it and good both times

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Regal Princess

Combined a London stay with the British Isles, and the Regal was the perfect way to the Isles. The weather was great and so were most of the ports, with maybe the exception of Inverness. In our opinion Princess has to do a better job describing the distance and cost of secondary ports to cities and attractions in the itinerary. Also they most be upfront with the ports that require tenders, one ...
