1-9 of 9 Southampton to Europe - British Isles & Western Princess Regal Princess Cruise Reviews
We chose this itinerary as we wanted to do London (5 days prior) and the British isles. We had a standard balcony. It worked for us but I think I prefer the deluxe balcony with a bit more room. Our room steward, Romy, was excellent. The September weather, although pleasantly cool, didn’t lend itself to sitting out on a balcony nor sunbathing. No big deal. We enjoyed the ports especially Cork, ...
Combined a London stay with the British Isles, and the Regal was the perfect way to the Isles. The weather was great and so were most of the ports, with maybe the exception of Inverness. In our opinion Princess has to do a better job describing the distance and cost of secondary ports to cities and attractions in the itinerary. Also they most be upfront with the ports that require tenders, one ...
My and I have been travelling with Princess Cruises for many years now. So far, we have taken 13 cruises with Princess Cruises. We plan to take another cruise with Princess soon. After the coming cruise, we will reach the highest loyalty level which is ELITE.
In general, our cabins were kept clean. The Room Attendant would make the room twice daily.

The ship is large enough and yet you still get a personalized experience.
Love sailing with Princess - my slogan for them is "Let Princess Do it" . From picking me up at airports - to booking a pre-sail hotel - taking me to the ship - taking my luggage - they do it all. Their shore excursions are good - had a wonderful Whale Watch on Tenerife! The boat had chaise lounges so we would relax as ...
Testing and embarkation were well organized, but for the wait for me to get my negative result. My wife’s came through quickly, but 20 mins later I still didn’t have mine (I never got it) and had to ask the staff to check. I was given a paper pass to allow me to board.
When we booked in March, only 1000 passengers were allowed, but come departure 2500+ made it a lively ship, with a lot of ...
If you want to get cruising again - do it. Its a safe way to cruise
There was a small amount or doubt, its not the Caribbean (our usual choice for cruising) and the weather in the UK can be questionable. However the sun shone - a lot. At times you could have been anywhere in the world. Its clear the ship can chase the sun. There are no ports of call and no real agenda so I guess they can go ...
This was our first cruise in 22 years, and our first time on Princess. We only booked this about 3 weeks ago when one of those tempting emails came through from that “top 20 deals of the week” company.
Our drive from Northamptonshire to Southampton was uneventful, bar a detour through Winchester to avoid a nasty accident on the M3. With the SatNav armed with the postcode for dock 4/5, it was ...
After reading some of the reviews rergarding Regal Princess was not sure what to expect
What a surprise eveything went like a dream
From arrival to have Covid test 50 min later we were in cabin no problem
Getting a drink in any bar was no problem as was getting a table for dinner never more than a 2-3 min wait
Entertainment was very good with a wide range of venues
I fact a very ...
We went on three different excursions on the Regal Princess. In particular, one in Glascow, Scotland; Invergordon, Scotland; and one to Ruen, France.
We really enjoyed all three excursions, but my advice would be that if you are taking an excursion in Invergordon or any other location, be sure to take the 1/2 day excursion. We found that the all day excursion folks had wished their ...
