"One guy playing what looked like a dead cat with pipes sticking out of it (I think they call it the Bagpuss) had a cash point machine for taking tips -
Invergordon - nothing to see
Edinburgh - lovely place but a day trip isnt enough - saw holyrood, the castle, the mile and was impressed
Le Havre - for Paris with 6 hour round trip on a bus wasn't for us so we walked the Harbour in 30 degree heat and visited Notre dame cathedral.Drinks package which included tips and wifi cost £40 pppd - a whopping £960 for two of us so we made the best of it and tried to get our monies worth lol - pretty hard to do though, but I think if I'd not bought the package it still would have been very expensive as drinks are $9 dollar min for wine and averaging $7-8 for beer or a single shot of whisky...."Read More

1-10 of 126 Princess Emerald Princess Cruise Reviews for Family to Europe - British Isles & Western from Southampton
My wife and I love the Transatlantic cruises. After a half dozen ports at the beginning of the cruise, you have almost a week to sit back and relax.
The Emerald Princess was just refurbished and everything was in tip top shape. All of the staff was extremely friendly and did a great job. Princess continues to make improvements every time we cruise with them, this cruise was no exception as the ...
The biggest reason I chose this 16-day cruise from Southampton to Fort Lauderdale was the list of 6 intermediate ports of call -- I had never been to any of them! The ports were Cherbourg, Le Verdon, Bilbao, A Coruna, Lisbon, and Ponta Delgada.
I was very grateful that I had booked a Princess transfer from London Heathrow Airport to the ship, as the few days before the cruise was sailing it ...
I want to thank Princess Cruises for removing any desire I might have to go on future cruises after my experience on Emerald Princess. I was shocked at how bad the overall service was compared to the other dozen cruises we have been on.
One example of poor service was the dining and beverage service. My wife and I ordered the Soda Package and to get a soda while you dined you had to tell a ...
Being laid up during covid hasn't done this ship any favours. Generous rust and flaking paint on the balcony, with unvarnished hand rail. Internally OK, if a bit dated, and due for dry Dock soon for renovation.
Comfortable cabin, with the newer Comfortable mattresses and pillows.
Food in MDRs generally good, and pre booking with the medallion app meant no waiting in line. Entertainment ...
This was our 10th Cruise, and we enjoyed Princess on two previous cruises. So we decided on this cruise because
of previous satisfaction with Princess and for not having a lot of SeaDays and the amount of time in Port, every port.
Firstly, they have to make the Medallion method more user friendly. After using this system, I don't know how this is any better than any previous systems of ...
Lots of British stops we haven't been to so picked this cruise.
Medallion App doesn't work every time so easiest thing to ring Princess before you sail to set up you info, and once aboard, if you order more than one drink at a time , even if you have the drinks package, you get billed for the drinks- have to go to reception to remove payment.
Embarkation a doddle - 10 min from arriving at ...
This was our first cruise ,we chose it has it had a lot of stops which we could get off ,embarkment was brilliant we was in our state room by 12,,to busy to get of at st peters Guernsey people was still trying to get on water shuttles at 12 had to be bk by 3 so gave that amiss day three COVID outbreak captain ask if we would wear mask on ship many Americans didn't astound the ship or coac hi ...
We've cruised all of the Caribbean, New England/Canada, Alaska, Mexico, Bahamas (Costa) and I've cruised the Med on HAL. This itinerary was a natural progression. We arrived a few weeks after Queen's Platinum Jubilee and so many decorations were still visible. We wish Princessair would have flown us in to alternate airports other than Heathrow with all the trouble they caused themselves. ...
This was our 3rd attempt for this British Isles cruise as we had booked it pre pandemic. We were very much looking forward to it. Embarkation was relatively quick & straightforward. We were surprised however that we were required to wear face masks in all communal areas due to a covid outbreak on the previous cruise.
Our first night in the De Vinci main dining room was not a pleasant ...
Round UK cruise from Southampton. The ship is tired and has signs of wear and tear. The floor of the main pool deck is churned up. The metal trim in the dinner room ceilings are stained and rusted. Food is mediocre at best. Portion sizes are very small.
Princess have stopped most of the extra special luxuries that make cruising special. Consequently it feels more like a cross channel ferry. ...
