Being laid up during covid hasn't done this ship any favours. Generous rust and flaking paint on the balcony, with unvarnished hand rail. Internally OK, if a bit dated, and due for dry Dock soon for renovation.
Comfortable cabin, with the newer Comfortable mattresses and pillows.
Food in MDRs generally good, and pre booking with the medallion app meant no waiting in line. Entertainment ...
We've cruised all of the Caribbean, New England/Canada, Alaska, Mexico, Bahamas (Costa) and I've cruised the Med on HAL. This itinerary was a natural progression. We arrived a few weeks after Queen's Platinum Jubilee and so many decorations were still visible. We wish Princessair would have flown us in to alternate airports other than Heathrow with all the trouble they caused themselves. ...
My wife and I had been want to tour Great Britain and Ireland but were limited on time. When we saw this cruise went around Great Britain with stops in Ireland and other unique locales we decided this was the trip.
This was our third cruise and our second on Princess.
Our cabin was adequate, although a little cozier than we had anticipated. Our cabin steward was outstanding.
We were ...
We've sailed on over a dozen cruise lines, but never on Princess. The smaller the cruise ship, the better, from our point of view, and the prospect of being on a ship with over 3000 passengers gave us pause. Nevertheless, we chose this cruise on the Emerald Princess because of its distinctive itinerary (Guernsey; Cobh/Cork; Dublin; Belfast; Glasgow; Orkney; Invergordon; Edinburgh and LeHavre), ...
This was our first cruise with Princess Cruises to celebrate our 50th anniversary. We have sailed between 20-25 cruises on various ships and companies, including Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Holland America, NCL and Costa. I have always heard how nice Princess is and the itinerary on this cruise made for lots of stops at places that we always wanted to see including France but more on that later. ...
We were on the Emerald Princess British Isles cruise in late July. Although we did have fun, we were disappointed overall by the items many have noted including service in general, uneven food quality, and medallion app functionality. We were also disappointed by many other things including:
* the lack of any recognition of our 3 special events (we had 2 birthdays and 1 anniversary in our ...
Wanted to see my Ancestry home of my Grandfather . I was limited to what I could did due to a severe broken Shoulder in May so I only could use one hand and could not carry any weight. Mostly everything went well except. Two problems thatPrincess failed to help with . Flew into London. With the usual airport delays but we made it on time and safely after 3 changes in our flights. Air booked by ...
We wanted to see parts of the UK that we typically did not see when visiting family so chose this cruise for its length and ports of call. Specifically, the things we enjoyed were:
> stops in ports of interest in England, Scotland and Ireland
> ports of Guernsey and the Orkeny Islands - not often accessed through mainland visits to the UK
Things we learned:
> Although we were aware ...
We has this cruise canceled twice by Covid.
I’m on board. Here are some notes from the Emerald Princess Baha deck on the British Isles Cruise June 14, 2022
Don’t bother ordering Jamison‘s scotch listed on the room service menu - they don’t have it on a trip to Scotland.
And don’t ask for Raisin Bran or special K listed on the room service menu- not available.
The announcements ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary following a princess land tour of Ireland (which was fabulous). Overall, the ports were excellent but there were too many water shuttle ports which created issues for those with disabilities. Several of the water shuttles broke down so we spent one to two hours waiting In the public areas to board one. The shore excursions we took were excellent and ...
