Worse Princess Cruise ever

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Emerald Princess

We have done multiple cruises with Princess and this one was by far the worse one. Unfriendly crew, poor entertainment, very poor food with the exception of the Crown Grill, internet was 50/50, either it worked or it didn't. Room service was super slow. Never seen any of the top crew members, like the captain or leading officers. SPA was terrible, overpriced but the biggest complaint was the ...

Promises, Promises, Promises....(Before and after catching Covid)

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Emerald Princess

Our British Isles cruise on Emerald Princess that started 26 June did not begin well. We had done all necessary actions to ensure a promised swift passage through the Embarkation Hall. However so had the vast majority of those boarding and then the tightly packed long queue was told there was a software problem. The dining room waiters and our cabin steward were excellent. Sadly the fare in ...

We choose this cruise because of the reputation of Princess Cruises as a 5 star cruise line and the itinerary was something we had always wanted to do. Princess failed to live up to their reputation or advertising. The cruise was oversold with insufficient staff onboard even to do the basics e.g. sufficient staff to open the restaurants at dinner leading to long queues and overcrowding on the ...

Never Sailing Princess Again

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Emerald Princess

This was our first cruise ever. We planned it for over a year. Our first impression was a 5+ hour wait to emabark and have a room. Our room was not clean and ready when we arrived. It was also on the quarantine deck so we had to be rearranged. The boat looked outdated (but nothing to compare it to, until other seasoned cruisers affirmed this) The ports and excursions were horribly planned ...

The Emerald has had it!

I couldn't wait to start cruising again and get back to some sort of normality. I went with my eyes open, fully expecting covid associated issues, but I totally underestimated things. I hope (and I'm pretty sure) that it's only the Emerald, but this ship is extremely poor. I'm an 'elite' member, so have made dozens of Princess cruises. I've kept coming back which is an indication of how highly ...

Simply horrible experience

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Emerald Princess

This was one of the first cruises after the pandemic. Short-staffed is an understatement. St one point I waited in line at the customer service desk for over an hour. I was supposed to be created for several excursion changes, never received word on that. While the cabin crew was hard working, the remainder of the ship’s staff, mainly customer service and the ship’s captain and crew were ...

The Princess Ship that ‘Lost it’s Crown’

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Emerald Princess

Please be patient in the reading of this comprehensive review which has taken a long while to compile due to the unwillingness of various sources to explain their actions (inactions) whilst on-board this cruise. Rather regrettably very little input from Princess Cruises themselves to explain their failings has not helped and that their only offering of their ‘sincere apologies’ (5 times over in ...

PRINCESS CRUISES HAS TOTALLY LOST US AS A CUSTOMER!

It would take us some hours to list all the issues (from a customer’s viewpoint) that need immediate addressing by Princess, as a result of our experiences during the 48 day Southampton to Sydney cruise on the Emerald Princess, but here are just a few to start with, just off the top of our head: UPGRADING TO MINI SUITE: When we originally booked the cruise, we wanted a mini-suite but were ...

Very disappointing cruise

Wanted to go to the North Cape. This was a trip from hell. Our luggage was delayed for 4 days and when the cruise started there were very few clothing items to buy. After two days of this we asked to be booked on a flight to go home at the next port and they said they could not do this. DON'T KNOW WHY. We could not go on shore excursions or even to the dining room due to lack of clothes. Got ...
