This was my 1st cruise my mam has done several cruises and wanted us to experience one,i was so disappointed found the security staff quite rude when getting on ship,a smile wouldn't go amiss, room was ok and kept nice by staff,i never imagined so many older people thought it would of been a mixed age group,a lot of them were very rude, not a lot to do on there,as I'm a non drinker and not a gambler ...

Firstly I can not complain about the staff on the Ship they all worked very hard, Allthough some staff did have difficulty in having 100% command of English. I am not a fan of American beers and was shocked at the absence of british beers, The vast majority of persons on the cruise were British . Secondly when ordering a drinck I had no idea of the actual cost as this was not displayed. Last year ...

We fancied a change from Celebrity Eclipse and booked a couple of weeks off in September, so had a window with 3 cruise options available. Basically - who would provide the best deal. Princess won! In a nutshell: Although smaller than Eclipse - 500+ more passengers. Public rooms and bars seemed dark and gloomy - though clean. Horizon food court a bit of a bun fight - nowhere near the selection ...

We used to travel down to Southampton from mid Suffolk in our car, staying overnight at a spa hotel, indulging in a first class dinner then going down to the dock by taxi and after the cruise returning to the hotel by taxi to pick up our car. Having costed this out a couple of times, we decided this time that for marginally more money we could get a return taxi all the way down to the port ...

Emerald Princess is a large ship (113,000 tons) carrying around 3,100 passengers but we all felt the waves cruising in and out of Southampton in May 2014. Having booked back to back cruises, we can report that it was not a "one off" either, so we were glad not to be on the car ferry to Bilbao this time. A delayed get away and rough seas meant we arrived 3 hours late in Barcelona because the ...

The first thing to point out to anyone reading this is that this was our first cruise together so we do not have the advantage of some reviewers of being able to compare and contrast this cruise against other ships and or operators. However, from talking to other cruisers on our ship we tended to find that experience does not always bring happiness, and this seems to be reflected in some of the ...

Quite an eventful cruise! Missed Corfu - humanitarian grounds, late in at Koper - big storm and U turn back to Cadiz - medical emergency. Good points First class cabin steward. Good humored, effective and efficient. Quality food, particularly in formal dining room. Lobster twice, steaks perfect. Waiters and other staff in Michelangelo spot on in all respects. Lectures on jewellery given by ...

this cruise was a last minute booking. of the cruise there were 9 days at sea. the booking in for us was fast and the cabin was excellent. Even the life boat drill being done inside was not labourious or time consuming. We elected for anytime dining but took most of our meals in the Horizon buffet restaurant as you can select what you want and how much. although it was very busy at peak times as ...

We got a taxi to the port, cheaper than the charge for parking, and more convenient.Arrived about 1pm as we were told, different times depending on which deck you are on.It was very busy, long queues, took about an hour to get on the ship.Once aboard it was fine I knew where the cabin was from the online deck plans. The cabin was as we expected, adequate size, shower a bit cramped unless you are skinny. We ...
